What does 'comentries' mean?

In "... created the Jiaozhou region with nine comentries assigned to it" I do not recognize the word, 'comentries'. The link is to a specific place in France, which does not seem to be relevant. Maybe countries, communities, or counties? tom fisher-york (talk) 03:16, 17 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
