What is this?
[edit]It's clearly not a steam engine. It's described in the infobox as a "rope-driven" steam engine, it looks more like a roller mill. Does anyone know, or have references for what it actually is?
Was there a steam engine here at one time? Is that still preserved? Andy Dingley (talk) 11:56, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
- This link provides a little more info. It seems it was part of a steam engine. It was one of the more odd places I've found an NRHP listing, as it's atop the entrance gate to an impound yard in an industrial park area around Coral Gables. --‖ Ebyabe talk - State of the Union ‖ 16:58, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, that makes it clearer. By the looks of it, the piece photographed above the gate just isn't the engine at all (although it may once have been driven by it), and the engine is somewhere indoors. Andy Dingley (talk) 17:27, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
