The ending![edit]

So she goes into a garage and with a sledge hammer breaks up the concrete floor to reveal a wooden box. In the wooden box is a Motorola 8000x (or similar) mobile phone from early 1980. She presses a button and the display lights up! She makes a call and its answered!

A 40 year old mobile phone will have a NiCd battery which would self discharge after a few days. Its an analogue phone whose network would have been turned off 20 years ago. The tariff would have been terminated with the end of the analogue network.

Surely a better ending could have been devised which did not involve an impossible phone call? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.150.11.133 (talk) 11:38, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
