Each component was graded on the scale of 0-100 where 100 represented extreme nordicity. Hamelin proposed that areas with a VAPO of more than 200 should be considered in "the North".

This is, to say the least, confusing. The scale goes up to 100, but only 200+ is in the north? Gerrit CUTEDH 11:01, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
