Copyvio tag

[edit]

This article has had a copyvio notice on it since June 2018. There is no indication why, nor any hint where it is supposed to have been copied from, and as the editor who posted it is no longer with us, we can’t ask them.
OTOH the text relies a lot on just two sources (neither of which is in a library nearby me). Does anybody have access to these sources, or can otherwise check if this notice is valid? Moonraker12 (talk) 22:17, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm mystified by this. I certainly used the Suzanne Massie text as my primary source, since it was (and probably still is} the best book in English on the subject, I know Suzanne Massie from my time as the cultural attaché at the U.S. consulate in St. Petersburg, and she got me enthused about Pavlovsk. I've done a lot of editing of Wikipedia and I'm careful to follow the rules. I didn't copy her text, and I believe I cited her properly. I don't think there is any copyright violation here.
