Quotes in the news

[edit]

I've removed several items from the Career section because they didn't seem to have any biographical significance. We don't scour the internet for every reference to the subject in a reliable source and then include all of those sources. The content must not only be verifiable but encyclopedic as well. Priestap was asked by the media to comment on a few national security issues. So what. R2 (bleep) 19:29, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You have removed relevant information cited to reliable sources that include the reason this individual is notable. You have left nothing but a shell article. Please replace the information you have removed. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:50, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please explain how the material is encyclopedic? Put another way, what's the basis for your belief that this material would make it into Priestap's biography in a traditional encyclopedia such as Encyclopedia Britannica, as opposed to being just the news of the day? To me, these appear to be random quotes with no biographical value. R2 (bleep) 16:41, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
As I requested before, please reverse your actions and reinsert the text. Here is a page explaining our policy in this area. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:42, 7 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So you're not going to explain how the material is encyclopedic? R2 (bleep) 17:52, 7 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the removal of content; the source only mentions he spoke to the committee, and nothing about presenting evidence. Vermont (talk) 10:16, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
