How to refer to China in the lead

There's no need to provide alternative names for China in the lead, and as written in this edit, "retroactively" is used incorrectly. signed, Rosguill talk 01:45, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I do not think that the arms embargo that was put in place after the Tiananmen Square protests was ever lifted. The article says that they were lifted after the Gulf War, but I cannot find any sources that prove that.
