Notability

He seems to meet none of the notability criteria in WP:GNG, nor any of the specialized notability criteria. It's possible that we should decide to keep his article anyway, per WP:IAR, but it seems to require that. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 14:31, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There are at least 826 Recipients of the Medal of the Order of Australia, and his other activities probably have lesser notability. Is that sufficient? I don't think the corresponding Presidential Medal of Freedom (the most similar award with which I am familiar) would be sufficient, absent reliable sources commenting on the reason for inclusion. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 14:49, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
