Hi, I think I've done enough to Wikify the page, but not sure. I'm new to this. So Admin, please leave me a note on anything else you'd like me to do and I'll try my best.

Fair use rationale for Image:GowLogo.png

[edit]

Image:GowLogo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:03, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sexual Abuse Scandal

[edit]

There is a lot of press and media coverage in regards to alleged sexual abuse at The Gow School. The news coverage should be added to the article.

If you want to add that information then do it accurately and neutrally. The very first claim I checked turned out to be false. You claimed that "The report found actions at the school inexcusable". The report actually says "The specific reports—occurring largely between the 1990s to 2002—include allegations of inexcusable behavior". That is not at all the same thing. I didn't bother to check any further. Meters (talk) 00:57, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've pulled this again. As I wrote If you want to add that information then do it accurately and neutrally. We don't make unsourced claims. We don't use the plaintiff's law firm as a source, particularly not their appeal for class action participants. We don't report actions that have nothing to do with this school. In general, for BLP reasons we don't mention such legal actions until there is a conviction. Meters (talk) 22:25, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
And again after it failed verification. You cannot claim that the report confirmed sexual assaults happened when it does not say that. Allegations were made and were investigated. A news article saying that there has been an investigation is not confirmation. Again, Any coverage of this has to be sourced, neutral and accurate. Meters (talk) 01:50, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
