Adamastor Supercars (commonly referred to as Adamastor) is a Portuguese manufacturer of hypercars and carbon fiber components. The company was founded in 2010 by Ricardo Quintas and Nuno Faria, becoming a car company in 2019. It is the first Portuguese car brand ever and is focused on high-end automobiles. [6]

History

Adamastor was founded in Porto in 2010 by Ricardo Quintas and Nuno Faria, with an academic and research component, becoming a car brand in 2019.

Inicially a project which focused on the development of a race car, the company started developing partnerships with national engineering groups and marketing universities. During the 2010s, groups of students were chosen to manage and compete in racing the car, each duly supported by an entrepreneur who acted as a mentor. [7]

Following the design of several chassis, the brand developed their first P003 model in the late 2010s. Since 2019 the brand focused on the development of a new car that would compete under the GT category regulations. As of 2024, the brand released their first ever model, as well as the first ever Portuguese car, Fúria.

Since the companies repositioning in 2019, Adamastor describes itself as a low-volume supercar manufacturer with its vision set on running in the 24h of Le Mans. [8]
