Pyramid Play[edit]

The Pyramid Play was first unsuccessfully performed against Washington State in 1933. It was later successfully performed against both Oregon and Fordham. The use of the play in the Oregon game is the most publicized, because it was in the Civil War, was photographed, and was later used as Nazi propoganda, highlighting the "brutality of American sports." I believe that we should fix the article to reflect the error.

Additionally, while Oregon State indicates that the play was made illegal within a year, newspaper articles tend to indicate that the play was not made illegal at least until the late 30s. To my knowledge, no one performed it other than the 1933 Ironmen, though. Wilkyisdashiznit (talk) 11:04, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
