White panther & Panther disagree on whether "it is a common misconception that panther meant a melanistic individual" or whether a panther is "any big cat with the condition known as melanism (causing black fur)"
Untitled
- I assume this was from the same source, but just for the record h:ngnshs, the Black panther article also says "it is a common misconception that panther means a melanistic individual." — Catiec 13:01, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
dalit
User:Bkonrad For most readers, the word dalit conveys no information without the link, and they must visit the page Dalit Panthers to understand this basic fact about the party. That is why I've reverted your edit. If you wish to restore it, please discuss it with me here first. Thank you. --Thnidu (talk) 17:41, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- That link is not really relevant for disambiguation of the term "Panther" which is what this page is about. If you think the term dalit needs clarification, then rephrase the entry. The extra link is counter to disambiguation guidelines. older ≠ wiser 20:13, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- User:Bkonrad I accept your reasoning here and your reversion. --Thnidu (talk) 16:35, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
Fictional "Panthers"
What does the community think about adding certain fictional panthers, such as Black Panther or the Pink Panther. We already list organizations with the term "panther" in it (e.g. The Black Panthers or the Gray Panthers").-Fogelmatrix (talk) 18:01, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
Specific term of Panther
Can you all please help me with this section of the Talk Page. I am very confused at what to add on there, as I don't want to start any unnecessary arguments. Williamwang363 (talk) 19:02, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
