Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Recent edit reversion

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 12:21, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy, Takov-kobi. Despite Mr. Sphilbrick's very friendly warning above, you appear to have introduced many new, and rather blatant, copyright violations over the lasts few days at Three Sisters (2012 film), Holiday in the Sun (film), Hidden in the Woods (2012 film), Stand by Your Man (TV series), Over My Dead Body (1942 film), Beretta 418, Draft:Universal Design Kitchens, Draft:Industrial Brothers‎ and others. This is a serious problem. I've disabled this account until you outline your understanding of copyright, and can propose a path forward that is constructive. Thank you. As copyright violations potentially put Wikipedia in legal jeopardy, we must be convinced that you will not make further copyright violations and that you understand copyright. In your own words, please tell the next reviewing admin what copyright is, what Wikipedia's license is, and when.how copyrighted content may be used on Wikipedia. Your answers to these questions are necessary to show us your understanding. See WP:COPYVIO. 331dot (talk) 09:26, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. Yakov - please just do not add anything that you did not completely write yourself. It's pretty easy to avoid this problem. Sam Kuru (talk) 17:55, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I moved Moran kliger to Draft:Moran Kliger because the page isn't ready for mainspace. You should keep improving it and then submit for review when you're ready. Thanks! BuySomeApples (talk) 05:40, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple drafts

Hi, please don't create multiple drafts on the same subject; this is unnecessary, and creates all sorts of problems. You now have both User:Yakov-kobi/sandbox and Draft:Moran Kliger in the system – the latter seems to be less developed, and could probably be deleted? If you blank the contents, or place the {{Db-author}} template on it, we can get rid of it and move the sandbox draft there instead. Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:36, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry for posting an earlier draft. I started to write it and then I remembered that I can use the sandbox for preliminary editing before publishing.
sorry for my mistake. Yakov-kobi (talk) 21:19, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, no worries. The other draft has now been deleted, so I've moved what was your sandbox draft to Draft:Moran Kliger. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:49, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AI generated comments

Hi,

I noticed you've made some weirdly phrased comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Luno (band), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Saint George S.C. players and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Demons Bridge railway station (which OwenX struck). Have you been using ChatGPT or another AI for these comments?

I strongly recommend not writing any Wikipedia comments with AI. It adds a lot of extra words but removes all meaning. It's simpler and more useful for everyone if you just write things in your own words instead. Soni (talk) 15:40, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
