EveryDollar is a personal financial management website and mobile app for the United States created by Dave Ramsey's Ramsey Solutions (which also produces The Ramsey Show and wrote The Total Money Makeover ).[1][2] The app officially launched in 2015 and surpassed 1 million users in 2016.[3]
Overview
EveryDollar was created by "personal finance guru Dave Ramsey to help users make the budgeting process easier.[4] It is a personal budget alternative to spreadsheets that allows users to closely monitor and track their spending.[5]
EveryDollar uses the zero-based budgeting method, where users give a job to every dollar and keep track of where all their money is going.[6] This approach helps users put all of their income "toward something specific."[7]
The app integrates "visuals, easy-to-read charts, and automatic calculations" in the budgeting process and has a focus on paying off debt.[8][9][10]
Users can sign up for either a free or paid version.[11] In the free version, users can create budgets and track spending.[12] In the paid version, users have access to custom reports, and bank connectivity, which allows transactions to import into the budget.[11]
