A June 2005 interview in Sports Illustrated (at http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/richard_deitsch/06/14/drew.carey/1.html) gives Drew's birthday as May 28, 1958, not the 23rd.

Parma has no suburbs...Parma IS a suburb of Cleveland. Just thought I would clear that up.

Succession box

Removed the WLiiA? succession box -- the show only had two hosts, and really, Drew didn't "succeed" Clive Anderson. Amnewsboy 10:31, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

USO Involvement

I saw a special on HBO about a USO tour of comedians led by Drew in Iraq. It was pretty good, but I don't remember what it was. 67.187.48.82 18:00, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Obesse

Drew Carey is not obese. He might be overweight, but I wouldn't consider him obese because he lost a lot of weight after he has surgery. Mr. C.C. 21:48, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I find Drew Carey to be obese, and you spelled it wrong.

Obesity is a medical condition, not an opinion. 68.42.17.202 05:17, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

Removed some vandalism from Career section. Please take note if any further vandalism occurs, with particular emphasis on Mr. Carey's weight.Doyel 23:49, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MySpace

Is that MySpace page legit? Deshem 09:33, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it is, I saw some interview several months back of him talking about it and it has several pictures of him with his new sports show, so I am pretty sure it is his page. --Nehrams2020 16:19, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well done, the GA has passed successfully. Bob talk 11:52, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marines

I'm having some trouble with the timeline. The article states that he joined the Marines in 1980 and served six years. It then states that he relocated to Las Vegas in 1982. Well, unless the Marines stationed him in Vegas (I'm no Marine, but I don't think there are any bases in Vegas except of Nellis AFB) or he went AWOL, there is no way that is correct. Further in the article, it states that he was in the Marine Reserves, and this might explain an ability to relocate to Las Vegas. Can someone please clarify the exact terms and circumstances of his military service? 13:05, 19 January 2007

I modified it. --Nehrams2020 21:41, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are Marine detachments all over the place; my MOS school was on an army base. It wouldn't surprise me at all if his unit was at Nellis. Besides, there are Marines in my unit who drive 5 hours to get to drill (I have to drive them, occasionally :-)). A friend of mine from MOS school actually has to fly out to Battle Creek, MI from Oceanside once a month, at the moment. Anyway, I'm curious what rank he got out with. I'd imagine corporal. --Cuervo, not logged in 23:49, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's correct, there are Marines all over the place in detachments.128.59.104.22 05:30, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Funny funny man

Drew Carey is a very funny man, but his politics are terrible. What do you think? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nomorepieforyou (talkcontribs) 17:39, 15 May 2007 (UTC). This is wikipedia, our opinions about Drew Carey’s politics are irrelevant.[reply]

Comedy Central Roast

He was roasted on Comedy Central, isn't that an honor? I think roastees are inducted into some hall of fame.
