Astoria 2

Template:Infobox music venue The Mean Fiddler, formerly known as LA2 (London Astoria 2), is a nightclub at 165 Charing Cross Road in London, England.

The venue was formerly owned by the Mean Fiddler Music Group, but was sold to the Mama Group Plc in August 2007.. The venus is connected to the London Astoria such that the two venues can function as a single venue where needed, however the two venues are now owned by separate parties so it is unknown whether this will continue. Like the Astoria, the venue is used for live music as well as night club promotions.

A venue also called Mean Fiddler was previously set up in Harlesden, north west London in 1982.

In June 2006, The Mean Fiddler was sold—together with the London Astoria—to property group Derwent Valley Central, who plan to convert the site to a combination of shops, flats and offices to raise money during the Olympics. It will continue to be rented to the Mean Fiddler group until 2008.
