All That Remains are a metalcore band from Springfield, Massachusetts.
History
All That Remains was originally established in 1998, as a side project while Philip Labonte was still the lead singer for Shadows Fall. After being replaced by Brian Fair, Labonte turned to All That Remains as his main project.
The band released their debut album Behind Silence and Solitude on March 26, 2002 through Prosthetic Records. The style of the album differs from their future releases, as it is void of clean vocals, and more prominently contains elements of melodic death metal. It was also the band's only release featuring guitarist Chris Bartlett and bassist Dan Egan. Shortly after the album's release, Labonte tried out for the vacant vocalist position in Killswitch Engage as mentioned in their DVD (Set This) World Ablaze. Labonte and Killswitch bassist Mike D'Antonio mentioned he was the runner-up to eventual winner, and current vocalist, Howard Jones.
Their second album This Darkened Heart was released on March 23, 2004 through Prosthetic Records/Razor & Tie. Produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, the album featured better production compared to its predecessor, as well as the use of clean vocals. Three singles were released from the album in "This Darkened Heart", "Tattered on My Sleeve" and "The Deepest Gray".
Their third album The Fall of Ideals was released on July 11, 2006 through Prosthetic Records. Once again, the album was produced by Adam Dutkiewicz. The album is also considered to be the band's breakthrough release, as it entered the Billboard 200 charts at number 75, selling almost 13,000 copies in its first week.[1] "This Calling" was released as the album's first single. Two music videos were created, with one incorporating footage from Saw III (as it was the lead song from the movie's soundtrack). A music video was made for the album's second single "The Air That I Breathe". The band were also a part of Ozzfest 2006. On June 20, 2007, it was announced that The Fall of Ideals had surpassed 100,000 sales in the United States.[2] A music video for the album's third single "Not Alone" was filmed on 4th July and is to be released in August.
The band recorded a performance for a live concert DVD on October 16th, featuring performances from the band's recent show at the Theater of the Living Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as footage from their July 12 show at The Recher Theatre in Towson, Maryland. The DVD artwork was designed by Killswitch Engage bassist Mike D'Antonio.[3] The dvd is scheduled for a release date in late October 2007 and can be pre-ordered at the Prosthetic Records website.
Recently they received and played a spot in Wacken Open Air in Wacken, Germany. They are now on a headlining tour with Protest the Hero.
On September 10th, the band released the music video to their latest single 'Not Alone' on their Pure Volume page, and shortly after on their MySpace. It has also been uploaded to YouTube.

- Phil Labonte is featured on the Killswitch Engage albums Alive or Just Breathing and The End of Heartache, where he performs additional vocals on certain tracks. He also appears on The Autumn Offering track "Homecoming", the Ligeia track "Makin' Love to a Murderer", the Flatlined track "Parallel Reflections", and The Acacia Strain song "Predator; Never Prey".
- The song "Six" appears as a bonus track in the video game Guitar Hero II. It is controversially the second hardest song to beat on expert mode and widely considered the hardest song to achieve a 5 star rating other than Jordan.
- The song "This Calling" is the lead song for the horror movie Saw III.
