"Hexagram"
Song
B-side"Lovers"

Hexagram was the second single from Deftones' 2003 album Deftones. The song failed to chart on the Modern and Mainstream rock charts in America and charted at a low #68 in the UK. This may be due to the songs heaviness and singing style, which consists mostly of screaming.

Like many Deftones songs, the meaning is ambiguous and open to interpretation. However, it is possible that the song may revolve around terrorism and/or urban violence.

Reviews

In reviewing Deftones Stephen Thomas Erlewine writes that "Hexagram," the album's opener, "hits hard — harder than they ever have, revealing how mushy Staind is, or how toothless Linkin Park is, even if it's a bit of a shame that Chino Moreno has resorted to guttural barking for singing."
