(Comment of Asif Kundi)

I have been reading columns and articles written by the most senior writers of Pakistan for last many years. It seems that present Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Chaudhry is the only top judge in recent times who has got appreciation from all around the world. I congratulate Mr. Chaudhry on his excellent performance and decision making powers and I hope he takes more and more social decisions for the betterment of common people.

If he can fast track the judicial system of Pakistan in his period of service, he would be considered one of the most valuable assets of this country and a national hero. I urge Mr. Chaudhry to establish think-tanks for the only purpose of escalating pending cases all over the country.

Regards

Missing content

We need more stories of the landmark cases that his bench sat on. Steel Mill case, Stock Exchange case - numerous suo moto actions. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.2.140.190 (talk) 15:44, 9 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

??? (vandal image)

What's with the [[Image:rfuhmryj, fryujr at the top of the page? Wikizilla (Talk) 20:34, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's vandalism. --199.71.174.100 02:07, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reference against Justice is current event and has many dimensions. I purpose a separate page, which describes reason behind this action, details of reference, his suspension, its outcome and composition of Supreme Judicial Council and it affect on judicial system of Pakistan. I think new page should be named as “Presidential Reference”, if possible we should have some name after Presidential Reference, such as Year or if there is number attached with Reference. We can also link this new page with Musharraf, as he is party to whole event. He started things off and its outcome will determine his future. --Spasage 10:24, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree so strongly that in a few moments, I'm going to be BOLD and just do it. The timeline is taking up too much space in the main article, leaving no room for encyclopedic information giving context the suspension. Also, most of the WP:NPOV and WP:VERIFY problems seem to be in the timeline; perhaps being on a single-purpose page will make those issues easier to clean up. -- LisaSmall T/C 18:46, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The page now exists at Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry (suspension). I chose that name instead of the "Presidential Reference" you suggested, to be more in line with standard Wikipedia protocols for names of articles. Musharraf is (or will be) linked to the article by wikilinks of his name in the text. -- LisaSmall T/C 15:23, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wouldn't Suspension of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry be a better article name? AndrewRT(Talk) 18:10, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, indeed. Moved. —Nightstallion 15:05, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Made Few Changes

I have made few cosmetic changes to the page. Added few references and still looking for complete text of Presedential Reference Rana Mansoor Akbar Khan 19:39, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also edited the page a bit, added a cite to an english-language version of the reference. It'd be nice to find a more official site than a blog to cite to. Thoughts? sunbird 11:45, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sources/Neutral PoV

The section "Missing People" is a) not verified by sources and b) contains breaches of teh neutral PoV: This also serves to demonstrate that the suspension of the Chief Justice was effected by Pervez Musharraf in order to further American neo-colonial interests in Pakistan

That is not verified by accepted research, nor is it in any way a neutral view on US/Pakistan relations. 87.123.156.33 10:24, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Karachi Riots

This article is definitely not neutral in its discussion of the recent bloodshed on Karachi soil. A simple search of google news, al jazeera, or bbc news would show viewpoints that are markedly more neutral and open minded about the source of the violence and bloodshed.

This article requires serious clean up to meet wikipedia standards.

Please do not add any statements to this biography unless they have been thoroughly researched and cited. Thank you. Chantoke 22:52, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Users such as Khalidkhoso keep making changes to this article that make no sense or are highly POV ot lack sources. Someone should take charge of this article and clean it up. Zaindy87 03:39, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The sections you reference now exist at Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry (suspension). I strongly agree with you re cleanup and NPOV problems there. -- LisaSmall T/C 15:23, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed Link of "Justice Falak Sher" as the link takes the reader to the page describing the montain(Falak Sher),which resembles it only by name.Cleared link to avoid user to go on wrong page. Shamsi

Hero

moved from article:

Most, people I talked to recently said that he is as bad or worse than the current leadership. People seem to have lost faith in the revolution that the media and his legal team were promising.

I think we should be more careful declaring people as heroes.

Supreme Court's reinstating of Chaudhry

Are the last observations in the recent edits re the Court's ruling supported by the references? Dogru144 14:39, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I revised an existing summary section after actually reading the short order of the court and some of the Pakistani & New York Times press accounts. Removed NPOV tone and added cites. Still could be better, though. -- LisaSmall T/C 18:46, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New section regarding second suspension -- NPOV -- Sources.

It's new, and it seems to not cite sources, and seems to be non NPOV. It sounds like a condemnation of Musharaffs actions, and that's not for wikipedia to decide. I'm sticking the current event and citations templates there, and if others agree with me, the NPOV template can be added. --Fshy 17:00, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, someone is writing terribly. Now, I know that not everyone is fluent in English, but if you aren't, post here in the talk page, and let someone else edit it before posting in the main. Adding quality template, much as I hate adding more than two templates to a section. Furthermore, I have yet to see a single source. Unless someone produces one, I am going to remove a good deal of the section.

EDIT: Ok, someone added a source to the area, which is good, but doesn't cover a good deal of the other concerns. It really doesn't address the areas which need to be cited; mostly the odd details which are unrefenced, such as the particular military division which did what, and etc. I'm still keeping the templates up. --Fshy 21:14, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
