There she is!! (Korean: 떳다 그녀!!) is a Flash animation produced by the Korean website SamBakZa. It was released on the website on April 20, 2003. Its soundtrack is the Korean pop song "There she is" (Korean: 떳다! 그녀!!, with the extra "!") by Witches.

The cartoon became particularly popular when exposed to American and European audiences via the Newgrounds website, particularly for its classic anime style elements, and became a meme during the Spring of 2004.

Synopsis

Template:Spoiler The plot revolves around a female rabbit chasing a male cat in a world where love between the species is strictly forbidden, obviously in love with him despite his refusal to accept her advances.

They meet in front of vending machines. She drops her carrot juice while spotting him going for a cup of fish. He looks to the cats and to the rabbits for help, who both look awkward and disapproving. When she makes it obvious she's attracted, he runs away. Although there is no dialogue, and we do not know the names of the characters, they go through several interesting situations where she tries to win his heart. Usually, as part of this, she stuffs carrots in his mouth.

In the middle, he sits her down and tries to explain (via a slide show presentation) that they are not meant to be lovers, but she does not care. She even pushes aside three suitable rabbit males he tries to hook her up with. In the end, he finally accepts her as his girlfriend, after she cuts down a tree he was hiding in. They even show a tolerance in the end for each others' drinks as she drinks his fish and he drinks her carrot juice.

Awards

In addition to being on the SamBakZa website, a version with English titling added was posted to Newgrounds' Flash Portal on April 11, 2004, where it was the #1 submission for that day and for the week ending April 14. It was listed in the all-time Top 10 for well over a year after its release, and as of June 2005 has been viewed there over 1.8 million times.

It was nominated for both the Professional Award and the Cyber Jury Award at the Anima Mundi Web Festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2004.

Sequel

A sequel, There she is!! Step 2 - Cake Dance, was released on February 25, 2005.
