Linking to Solie.org title histories

I feel that it is unecessary to link to Solie.org title histories so I removed it. Mr. C.C. 07:23, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other promotions

In all due respect to the other promotions, I feel that they are not really necessary because Abyss biggest work is in TNA. I will leave up ROH, but if anybody wishes to discuss these, please discuss them here.

Intro

This isn't a major issue but why did we get rid of "The Monster" when saying what he competes as? They always announce him as being "The Monster" Abyss. Mike Tenay and Don West hardly ever refer to him without saying the word Monster. But I guess if you want to leave out Monster it's not really wrong because we don't say that Randy Orton competes as "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton.

Height

There's no way Abyss is just 6'4, he has to be at least 6'6-6'8.

According to TNA, his official website, and Obssesed with Wrestling, Abyss is listed as 6'10". Gerweck.net lists him as 6'4". I don't believe Abyss is as tall as 6'10" or as short as 6'4". Why I do think he could be around 6'6", i think we should just go with the official site and TNA and list him as 6'10" (though I know it is not true). User:FallenKing

He was always labeled as being 6'8" but when TNA re-launched their website in the summer of 2005 they put 6'10" in his profile. And at one point, either David Penzer or Jeremy Borash was calling him 6'9" during his ring introductions.

Ryan "Trytan" Wilson was always labeled as being either 6'10" or 6'11" in TNA, but again they listed him incorrectly on their website, saying that he was 7'2".

I would just say that Chris Parks/Abyss is 6'8".

Chris is legit only 6'5". I used to referee him in the independents in Indiana/Ohio area. He appears taller due to his large frame/size but he told me back in 2002 he was legit 6'5" even though they billed him then in the indys as 6'9". - Referee Andy B. Blind

i saw a pic of him witha 6'8 guy, an the 6'8 guy had 2(possibly 3) inches on abyss. referee andy, thx for tht, an they're doin the same with snisky, he looks 6'8 but is really 6'5 or 6'6

When Chris was in the ring with Jake Roberts they were about the same size so if Roberts is 6'5 Parks must be close to that.

Chris is 6'6" unless he grew after college or shrunk after college. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.108.28.245 (talk) 20:39, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Name

It lists Abysmo as one of his names. I've never seen this, and on Spanish Language Lucha Libre programs I've seen his name be "ABBYS" BoosterBronze 04:44, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kane from WWF?

Why is that there he was never Kane. Also is the thanks at the bottom of the screen really needed.

  • Am I the only one who has no idea what the above statement is trying to get across? HDC7777 (23/02/07 @ 19:16)

Some people feel that he is really old kane from WWF/E —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.69.137.26 (talk) 17:07, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kayfabe

I added in a piece about Sting breaking kayfabe on the last installment of Impact. i thought this would be acceptable as it was not a random news update. As well, breaks in kayfabe do not commonly happen to such a degree, and in many other Pro-Wrestling Project pages they are referenced. The addition has since been removed and I was wondering under what reason it was, as no such explanation was given by the party who removed it. Cosmic Larva 22:59, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That only assumes that the fans are meant to believe that "Abyss" his Chris's real name. It not breaking kayfabe, just Sting digging deeper into the character.

Kayfabe?

Abyss was in prison. Is this true? And also, is the storyline of his mom kayfabe?--989 RVD 04:53, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

This is kind of funny actually. Has anyone noticed that the picture half way down his page is from the movie "The Abyss"? The caption under it is also funny because it says that it is a picture of James Mitchell and Abyss. You wikipedia wankers are just too funny!

IWA

The article makes it look like he debuted the abyss character in TNA, but I could be wrong but wasn't he Abyss before TNA? Also I thought his character looked a lot like Kane when he was in IWA. He won the IWA hardcore title as Abyss in November 2, 2002. The article says he debuted as Abyss on June 2003 in TNA?

What the hell?

There must be a serious mistake in this statement:

Abyss first appeared in World Wrestling Entertainment in 2003, being brought in as a bodyguard to the stable D-generation X. However, Abyss appeared only once, due to WCW pulling all of their contracted talent from WWE.

First off, D-Generation X didn't exist anymore in 2003. It ended in 2001 and reformed in 2006. Secondly, WCW, a company owned by WWE, pulled contracted talent from it? WCW ceased to exist two years prior to this fictitious happening. The later comments about WCW seem impossible as well. Hopefully someone can fix this up. Cale 03:26, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 15:16, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NFL

It says in an article on Slam Sports that Chris was in the NFL and played for the Pittsburgh Steelers but there is no where else that states this on the web so before it is added I think we should find more info on it.
