Anybody Killa

Anybody Killa, or 'ABK' is the stage name of James Lowery (born June 26 1973), a horrorcore rap artist on Insane Clown Posse's record label Psychopathic Records. Lowery is of Native American descent, and his family belongs to the Lumbee tribe. He has a very noticeable lisp.

Krazy Klan / Native Funk (1995 - 2000)

James Lowery began his rap career in 1995, as part of the group Krazy Klan. He rapped under the name Jaymo while his partner Lavel rapped as Jayho. Krazy Klan became one of the largest suburb Detroit underground horrorcore groups, just under Insane Clown Posse, and House of Krazees. They released their first album, Frustrationz, on cassette tape only. After a three year break, they released their second and last album, developMENTAL, in 1999. DevelopMENTAL was the only album Krazy Klan released on CD. Shortly after the album's release, Krazy Klan broke up and went their separate ways.

In 2000, Lowery released a solo CD called Rain From The Sun under the alias Native Funk. Shortly after the album's release, he changed his name to Anybody Killa, the name which he has kept ever since. Not long after dropping his solo album, ABK became good friends with the newly-signed Psychopathic Records artist, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, and served as his hypeman at the 2000 Gathering of the Juggalos. ABK also became good friends with ICP. He started to make appearances on their own albums. ABKs friendship with Twiztid, which started when they were children, also helped him get on Psychopathic Records.

Psychopathic Records (2001–2008)

In 2001, Lowery was finally signed to Psychopathic Records, and immediately started work on his first album, which was originally intended for 2002 release date. Before the release of Hatchet Warrior , ABK would appear on various tracks for other Psychopathic artists--most notably on the track Skanta Clawz from ICP's The Pendulum.

When labelmates Dark Lotus lost a member in 2001, ABK was their first choice as a replacement. He recorded verses on the re-issued version of Tales From The Lotus Pod in 2002. His vocals were dubbed over that of Marz, who had been kicked out of the group a year earlier. Although ABK's version went on to become the official version, the juggalo community is split between which version of the album is better due to his very noticeable lisping rapping style.

Hatchet Warrior

After a year's delay, ABK's first official album, Hatchet Warrior, was finally released in 2003.

Dirty History

His follow-up LP, Dirty History, was released in 2004. Not only was the album considered an improvement over Hatchet Warrior, but it is Anybody Killa's most successful album.

In 2004, Dark Lotus released a second album titled Black Rain. ABK was featured this time as a full-length member, and was featured prominently throughout the album. That same year, Lowery was asked to join another Psychopathic Records supergroup, the Psychopathic Rydas, in 2004. Under the alias "Sawed Off", he appeared on the album Check Yo Shit In Bitch.

Road Fools EP

In 2005, ABK released an EP named Road Fools with a DVD of tour footage and his own personal brand of comedy. In this EP/video, he also exploits his "nub". Despite the bonus footage and extras, Road Fools was a disappointment to fans, who felt the album was overhyped and was nowhere near as good as his previous albums.

That same year, he joined Blaze Ya Dead Homie to form a supergroup called Drive By. The group released one album titled Pony Down. The group was short-lived, and broke up shortly after the album was released.

On February 3, 2006 it was announced that ABK had left Psychopathic Records due to contract issues.

As announced on ICP's Weekly Freekly Weekly, ABK has officially signed back to Psychopathic Records in 2008.

Independent career (2006–2008)

Shortly after leaving the label, ABK set up his own website thehatchetwarrior.com, and re-released the Native Funk album Rain From The Sun.The re-release (released on June 1st), included a second disc entitled the Rattlesnake EP with all new material including a new version of Guillotine called Guillotine Pt. 2 featuring fellow rapper who ?Strict.

Around this time, ABK also released a few so called diss tracks with fellow Psychopathic cast-off Esham, targeting the members of ICP and Psychopathic Records. While not expected gather little attention many debate that ABK's part in the tracks have no diss's in them.

In 2006, ABK started a group called the Detroit Warriors with fellow rappers Strict & Venomiz. Together, they released their first album, Strike 1 Mix.

Anybody Killa also finished working on a project he had started before he left called "ABK's Orange-Black CDs". Both the Orange EP and Black EP became available Oct. 1st, 2006. A Christmas-themed EP, titled Holiday Jingles, was released in December 2006.

In April 2007, Detroit Warriors released their second album, Strike 2 Mix. The second album featured Strict, Flagrant, AJAX, Krazy Klan, & a few other underground Detroit artists.

On October 1st, 2007, ABK released his second Orange-Black album, titled Devilish: Black Orange. The album was released on his website and contains eight new tracks.

"At ICP's seminar today they said they are 99% through contract negotiations with Anybody Killa and welcome him back to the Hatchet."[1] Though not much has been said since the gathering ABK is booking shows under his Native World Inc. In 2008 it was announced on Insane Clown Posse's Weekly Freekly that Anybody Killa has signed back under the label of Psychopathic Records

The G-Unit Rumors (2007)

Broke out in Rap Magazine XXL in August 2007. Lowery was in negoations with 50 Cent and his label G-Unit Records to replace the now-departed Young Buck and originally to replace Compton-based rapper The Game as the groups "Fifth Element". Negoations between Lowery and Interscope Records owner Jimmy Lovine came to a standstill and ABK didn't sign to G-Unit. In March 2008, shortly after the announcement of his return to Psychopathic, top Hip Hop News station Rap Basement revealed that 50 Cent offered Lowery 10 Millionan album.
