"Discipline"
Song

"Discipline" is a single by Nine Inch Nails. It is the first single since the act began to record and publish without a record label contract. A promo was released to radio on April 22, 2008 and is also available as a free MP3 download via the Nine Inch Nails' official website. It was mastered by Alan Moulder less than 24 hours prior to release.[1][2] The track and the multitrack files for remixing, were made available via nin.com for download.[3]

The MP3 file contains an embedded album art image, full lyrics, and the comment: "Go to www.nin.com May 5". Subsequently on May 5, 2008 a new Nine Inch Nails album, The Slip was revealed for download. The song's tempo is 122 beats per minute according to the properties pre-embedded with the mp3. It is Nine Inch Nails' sixth consecutive top ten single on the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks.
