Picture

Somone should really find a picture of this.

Well, the exact location is not known to the public... Maybe a government photo? Piet 09:28, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick edit insertion here to comment on that image link. That photo in the link above, is on a couple of sites, and the source is a professional photographer. I've seen the source file, and it's definitely copyrighted. I don't think he'll let that one go as a complimentary contribution.Mdvaden (talk) 20:46, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There are several photos of Stratosphere giant. I opt not to post the links, because the album they are in, has a caption that basically discloses the location, due to a noteworthy landmark in the image.
The album photos are very hard to find, because the file names don't include the tree name. But there were views toward the redwood, and from up in it looking away at scenery.
Recently, I was going to add a basic description of this past California champion redwood location to my own redwood page at Giant Redwoods Page.
But I decided that the location is best left vague for now. Once I make it down to this redwood, I'd certainly be open to sharing a reduced size image for Wikipedia. The goal is to supply photos of these trees, without offering clues for locating.Mdvaden (talk) 02:18, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
