Possible Copyright Violation
I have placed a Copyright Violation Tag on this article. The current version of the article appeared to be copied directly from a web site. Furthermore, this article seemed to favor the subject. Previous edits of this article included material that portrayed the subject in a negative light and some editors were actually making discussion comments directly in the article, rather than the talk page. This article needs to be rewritten in an objective, encyclopedic fashion that portrays the subject accurately and without any bias. This may be difficult to accomplish, as the subject is a major political figure in his country, with both fervent supporters and opposers. Subwayatrain (talk) 07:48, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Net worth?
What is the current net worth of Álvaro Noboa, does anyone know? RFerreira 01:04, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
It is estimated that he possess 1 200 million dollars (source, Diario El Universo, Ecuador), which he inherited from his father, Luis Noboa Naranjo. I hope I had answered your question (and please excuse my English, if I made any mistakes). Dalobuca 22:07, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
Agreed, that is his net, as I've heard on the news. And kudos for this article. This sort of info is not really available in Ecuador. Hope the little pig doesn't win. darynthe
Me too, but I'm sure he will. Dalobuca 21:27, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm curious, if he becomes president, does he have to give away all his shares of his companies, or can he remain owner and president at the same time? --74.56.159.45 16:19, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
As far as I know, he can remain owner and president at the same time. Dalobuca 20:04, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Not only can he remain owner and president, but he will probably use the power of the office to further enrich himself. When he was President of the Monetary Board under Abdala Bucaram, he used political pressure against his step-mother and sisters, to further his control of the inheritance from his father.
Crusade for a New Humanity
"Crusade for a New Humanity" would be translated to Spanish as "Cruzada por/para una Nueva Humanidad". Noboas's foundation name is Cruzada Nueva Humanidad, which doesn't make much sense in Spanish either ("Crusade New Humanity"?)... Dalobuca 17:11, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- New Humanity Crusade, or New Manking Crusade sounds right in english I think =) (well, right considering it's a lame name in spanish too). --User:Revoish 05:35, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Spending
It would be good if the article justs mentions what the spending limit was. By my count, if he was 98% over and spent $2.3 million, it would have been about $1.162 million. Of course, maybe it was $1.15 million and he actually spent about $2.277 million Nil Einne 23:27, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

- An international point of view describe his life a clear example of leadership, of the capacity to oppose what is improperly established, of the will to stand by his principles, of the discipline required to change habits, of the perseverance to fulfil the cherished dreams of his heart, of the capacity to create and maintain large companies and of the gift to govern. These qualities have made Alvaro excel as the entrepreneurial, social and political leader of Ecuador.

Thanks for the feedback
Dear Lomis, thanks for letting me know what I was doing wrong about this article, it was not my intention to fight here but please understand that it was quite awful not to know why any of my editings were always completly deleted without an explanation. Please feed me back about the rest of the article as well. Thanks in advance.
