Please create an account

I used to believe that most IPs were an overall nuisance to the work of Wikipedia, I have been proven wrong by the work of excellent IPs such as yourself. As a part of my apology, I want to ask you to create an account. Thanks. εγκυκλοπαίδεια* (talk) 20:25, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please complete your afd nominations

Thank you for your efforts to keep nonsense, self promotion, and the like off of Wikipedia. However, I must ask you to please read Wikipedia:Articles for deletion#How to list pages for deletion before making any more afd nominations. Since you've been missing steps II and III, nobody will see your nominations unless someone else finds them on Category:Pages for deletion and lists them for you (which is a very time-consuming process, even with bot assistance). This also causes the articles you're trying to get deleted to stay in Wikipedia for longer than they otherwise would. —Cryptic (talk) 15:33, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work on Matthias Felleisen article

Hi. Thanks for the good work on the article about Matthias Felleisen. I was planning to do a massive edit of that article, but you've done most of the work for me :-). I'm hoping to improve DrScheme and PLT Scheme in the near future — maybe we can work together? Cheers, Chris Chittleborough 16:12, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Get an account

It is easy, you know. Introgressive 17:22, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I second that! I used to do a lot of IP edits before I got an account. It is easy and you won't be as quickly dismissed on talk pages. —MJCdetroit 20:22, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"avoid overlinking years"

Why do you write "avoid overlinking years"? What's wrong with linking years?—msh210 06:31, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Linworth Alternative Program

When tagging articles with a speedy because of copyright can you leave the material on the page so that it can be checked. Also the article was created May 2 so it's not a valid speedy as they have to be within 48 hours. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 16:42, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem glad to have been able to help. Keep up the good work. -- No Guru 16:14, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alexander London

Alexander London is a Chess grandmaster who beat Fisher in one game at a Chess tournament. LaszloWalrus 18:57, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't find anything on Google, either. I only know of London because I learned Chess from him several years ago. I realize that this isn't near good enough for Wikipedia standards, so I'll keep looking. Feel free to remove London from the list for now, if you'd like. I'll restore him if and when I have more information. LaszloWalrus 18:27, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sock puppet?

Are you a Sock puppet? It appears you are using this account to 'mislead others', in particular you use of account to perform edit 'wars'. I'm asking you directly so that any misunderstanding can be clearer up without further escalation. ChessCreator (talk) 17:20, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An Informal Notice

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on World Chess Championship 2008. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Sentriclecub (talk) 14:03, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
