Arcángel & De la Ghetto

Austin Santos, artistically known as Arcángel, and Rafael Castillo, artistically known as De La Ghetto, formed Arcangel & De La Ghetto, a Puerto Rican and Dominican duo that have been active from 2004 to 2007. Both artists were members of Zion's label, Baby Records, until Arcángel left, and found Flow Factory Inc.. Both artists are still friends, and are still active, but in separate ways.

Arcángel

Austin Santos, best known as Arcangel or Austin La Maravish, was born in 1985 in the city of New York to a Dominican mother. His mother moved to Puerto Rico in the early '80s to realize her dream of singing by joining a merengue group known as Las Chicas del Can-Can. Austin met a young man known in reggaeton as "De La Ghetto" and the two began working together. Although they are relatively new artists, they have done well so far with hits like "Agresivo", "Sorpresa", and "Mi Fanática". They gained fame relatively quickly. Many people who have been listening to reggaeton since its beginnings in the early '90s criticize the duo, particularly Arcangel for being "cocky" and trying to engage older more established reggaeton stars in rap battles. Other people argue that his attitude is warranted because the duo is well known without having released their own album. A recent tiraera (rap battle) occurred with another duo, Jowell & Randy. This in fact was a publicity stunt to promote their hit concert in Puerto Rico's Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot (Arcangel vs. Jowell y Randy).[citation needed] The concert went on to be a sold-out sensation.

Arcangel also has two children.

De La Ghetto

Rafael Castillo, better known as De La Ghetto,De La Geezy or Mr. Versatility in the artistic world, was born on September 17th in New York. After living in Seattle and Europe during his early childhood, his family decided to move to Puerto Rico and reside in La Perla, Viejo San Juan where he lived out his adolescence. Son of a Dominican father and Puerto Rican mother, this young artist has been able to capture the hearts of his fans throughout the world thanks to his artistic collaborations with Zion, Daddy Yankee, Héctor "El Father", Jowell & Randy, Arcángel, Memphis Bleek, Don Omar, Mexicano, Tito "El Bambino", Ivy Queen, Yaga & Mackie, Tego Calderón, Ñejo & Dalmata, Alexis & Fido, and Voltio, among others. De La Ghetto became known in 2005 with the single "Ven Pégate", a duet with Arcángel on the production Sangre Nueva (New Blood) which opened doors allowing him to participate in later productions like: Sangre Nueva Special Edition, Zion & Lennox Motivando A La Yal: Special Edition, Las Gárgolas 5: The Next Generation, Los Rompediscotecas, Luny Tunes Mas Flow: Los Benjamins, Dj Nelson Flow La Discoteka 2, Zion The Perfect Melody, DJ Rafy Mercenario The King of Remix, Jowell & Randy Casa de Leones, Yaga & Mackie La Reunión, Los Capo, and Los Sicarios, among others. De La Ghetto's latest work is “Sensación Del Bloque” (The Neighborhood Sensation), which is a music video with fellow artist Randy. He also appears in other works like; "Aparentemente" (Apparently), "Siente El Boom" (Feel The Boom song by Tito "El Bambino" and Randy). De La Ghetto’s new promotional cut includes “Sé” (I)Know), "Te Quiero" (a song he made for his baby girl, Angi) and “Your Body” a duet with Zion, the remix of 5 Letras (5 letters) with Alexis & Fido, and in a solo single called “Pa’ Tras”. His fluency in the English language has allowed him to work among artist like Nelly, Timbaland, Beenie Man, Lil Wayne, and Akon. His future plans include working with Aventura, Toby Love and Robi “Draco” Rosa, among others. Rafael is currently working on a tour performing in Panama, Europe, Colombia, Santo Domingo, and the United States. His time in Puerto Rico would be spent recording his solo album Masacre Musical (Musical Massacre). The album would be bilingual and promises to have musical variety and be very “ghetto”. The rest of his stay on the island would be spent shooting the beginning of his film “Ghettologia”, which would be recorded in La Perla and other neighborhoods of Puerto Rico.As soon took into his arms to his son Austin Alejandro Santos Pascual, the rapper Archangel, a member of the duo Arcangel & De la Ghetto, the first thing he did was besarlo and scream of excitement in the hospital of Pavia Santurce.

The artist, known for its song "prrrr!" in his songs, to take account that the creature "screamed at the hospital in the emotion prrrr!; that was what I came out and that is that I release my emotions."

Alejandro Santos Pascual was born on Wednesday at 9:55 in the morning by caesarean section, weighed seven pounds two ounces and measured 19 inches.

"I always wanted to have a child and the mother (Alejandra Pascual) and I were making plans to have him," says the proud father Primer, whose real name is Austin Santos.

Because we arrived late at the hospital, was unable to attend the Archangel cesarean his companion consensual, so it was only able to see his son for 20 minutes of birth, when he was in an incubator.

For Archangel, which has stuck the "Aggressive" and "Surprise", its offspring is "igualito to me."

"It's my face, my nose and mouth, has a bit of the mother in the eye and the tab. Culeco I'm fine and well pike," reveals the reguetonero of 20 years of age.

As to take the boy to his shoulder, said he did not fear him because it had the opportunity to raise his little brother, Justin, five years of age, with whom he has been like a father.

"I saw him grow up and I was told by my mother when she gave birth. I changed diapers and took care of it when my mom was going to work. I wore to school. My little brother loves me a lot and is asking for the blessing and to "details.

The task of changing the diaper to Austin Alejandro Nor is it has become difficult, which is mainly undertook as an expert.

So is the excitement of the rapper for the birth of their offspring since before coming to the world he has composed a song entitled "Huge you are to me" that include on your disk.

Well Archangel, who was born in the Harlem neighborhood of New York and raised in Puerto Rico, plans to launch next year as a soloist. Meanwhile continue to honor its commitments with De la Ghetto.
