Rollback

I am sorry but we can't grant rollback yet. You don't have any history of reverting vandalism for us to see how you would use the tool. Please try the undo function and leave a descriptive edit summary describing the reason for the revert. This does not mean that you can not apply for rollback at some later date when you have a history of fighting vandalism and show a need for the tool. —Sandahl 16:11, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and thanks for your interest in the project. Can you please post something on our applications section so that we welcome you as an official member. Thanks Watchdogb (talk) 15:17, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's looking good; three people supported your application so far. We always give it at least 48 hours before it is officially accepted. Can I make one request? I feel that building up trust is essential in this area, and an easy way to build up trust is by writing honest edit summaries. Because I often forget this myself, I use the helpful setting "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary". The only annoying thing is that it also expects a summary for talk pages, where it is often unnecessary. In those cases, I just enter a space to avoid the message. — Sebastian 20:53, 11 January 2009 (UTC)    (I stopped watching this page. This article is up for deletion. You need to strongly improve it and use strong references and add more detail, or it will be deleted. If it is deleted admins won't take kindly to it being recreated, and could delete it straight away. Just though I should warn you. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk | Sign 13:56, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I know. I already agreed to have it soft redirect to Hometowned on the wikitionary. there's basically nothing on it out there (internet) and I only had a couple of sentences. Riotrocket8676 You gotta problem with that? 15:07, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Achievement

Congratulations, you've received an attack page of your very own, Riotrocket8676, deleted now. While this may seem like a bad thing, be aware, it is assuredly a positive thing, if they're attacking you, it means you're doing something right. I'll try and whip you up a relevant barnstar in the morning if I get time, but for now, congratulations again.--Jac16888Talk 02:10, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

I would like to thank you for reverting the edits made on the Roblox article. It is annoying to have your work vandalized. Thanks a lot for fixing that!--Gordonrox24 (talk) 00:14, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CSD G1

Hi! I noticed you've tagged a few pages for speedy deletion, using G1 as the criteria. G1 states that the tag is only used for patent nonsense, incomprehensible strings of characters with no discernible meaning. You probably know this, but if the page can be understood by a speaker, even it is vandalism, it should be tagged with another tag. I just wanted to let you know in case it causes issues for you later. Keep up the good work! » \ / () 20:54, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is no 'universal' speedy deletion tag per se, try to find one that meets the criteria. An attack page should be A10, whereas A1 is for very short, unmeaningful articles; 'John has a red car'. Others, well, A7, G11 and G3 are the most common, but keep a look out for other types that will require 'special' attention. G12, etc. Hope this helps. » \ / () 21:02, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

G3 > G7?

Hi, I noticed that you changed the tag on State of Korea from WP:G3, vandalism, to WP:G7, page blanked by author. However, if you check the history, you will see that it was not blanked by the author, but by another editor due to its content, hence the tag 'This page has been blanked as a courtesy' on the article space. It still falls under G3, and not G7, because it was not blanked by the page creator. -Zeus-uc 21:53, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks. Thought G7 was a better fit, but I guess I was wrong. Sorry! Riotrocket8676 You gotta problem with that? 21:55, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. It would have been if the author had blanked it, but since he didn't, that csd was invalid. -Zeus-uc 21:57, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lehigh Valley Health Network Marathon for Via

Just a friendly note on Lehigh Valley Health Network Marathon for Via. I declined the speedy because there was plenty of context -- I know nothing about it, and was easily able to tell it's a running event. Also, some editors think that speedying an article like this one minute after creation falls afoul of WP:BITE. HTH!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:24, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CSD Tagging

Hello. You just tagged Zach sorrentino as WP:G1, or patent nonsense. While the page should be deleted under a CSD criteria, patent nonsense only applies to pages that are incomprehensible. I have therefore replaced the speedy on that page with a more appropriate one. Just wanted to let you know; G1s are very specific and Zach sorrentino does not qualify. Thanks. Didn't mean to step on your toes as I tried to revert that IP user. I noticed you had reverted the same user and I think I inadvertently reverted one of your fixes. I think I fixed my error, but I wanted to let you know I didn't mean to undo your work. Cheers! Geoff T C 02:22, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
