Indestructibility

What do they mean by this? You can put a peep in hot chocolate and it melts away so it's hardly indestructable. I think the section should be clarified more 99.53.171.95 (talk) 16:07, 1 March 2009 (UTC)eric[reply]

Jewelry

How is the information on Jennifer Kellogg not considered advertising? The jewelry is from an old collection, she apparently doesn't make it anymore, and the "article" linked in the external links isn't an article: it's a collection of ads about....Jennifer Kellogg. I don't really know what is considered advertising or not. But I added the information because I thought it was a noteworthy aspect of Peeps. I don't really know enough about Jennifer Kellogg to know if she deserves her own article, though.--Paraphelion 05:25, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That may be the case, but I'm not certain... It did turn up a number of google hits, but I didn't investigate them thoroughly (got too distracted by one really funny one, lol). If no one is able to meaningfully defend it's inclusion in the article, I think it should be removed (but possibly preserved here on the talk page). --Icarus 18:49, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stale

Well the flavor doesn't change. They just become less messy. The outside becomes crisper, less sugar crystals getting everywhere, and I guess the marshmallow interior becomes more solid and less sticky. I'd say it's probably some of that, and simply the fun of having a "tradition" for Peep consuption. That's just my personal take on it though. Theredcomet2000 01:23, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have a batch of Christmas tree Peeps from 2006. I left them unopened for five months, but they are barely stale at all! Definitely not like I remember. Has there been some change in formula that keeps Peeps from going stale?? Pim 03:28, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Candy and merchandise

I really feel a full listing of marshmallow Peeps past and present would serve better than just the rough mentioning of them in the article. The article includes nothing of discontinued Peeps, colors available, and is quite incomplete. An American icon such as the Peep deserves as full an article as Kool-Aid, which has its own listing of all flavors.

Furthermore, there is no mentioning of additional Peeps sweets available (Flix candy, lollipops, ring pops, etc) or the plethora of Peeps merchandise created in the past 4 years. Peeps eating contests

Should the section on the Peeps eating contest really be included? It seems like only a few of such contests have been held, and none has which have been mentioned in the press, which I believe makes it notable. I've done over 100 radio interviews, several print interviews, and there's been two documentaries filmed regarding the Sacramento Peep Off. It's bad form to post to your own site, but there are puke rules and they have been inforced. --Dave Gornzilla (talk) 22:39, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
