More vandalism on Arturo Toscanini article

This moronic half-wit persists in vandalism

This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

It would appear that you were the person who inserted

"oh yea, balaji's a gangster. NOT. See Borat <--- IS NICE!" on the article.

If not, I apologize. Viva-Verdi 15:55, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I would remove this but I think it tells a story. Dan D. Ric 16:29, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Morning Vandals

Hi Dan, I've blocked those two accounts as vandalism-only accounts. It's pretty clear those accounts were created for the sole purpose of vandalism. --Deathphoenix ʕ 16:45, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

2d bat

check the use of 2d and 3d in military terms. Wandalstouring 13:32, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to have missed the point 2d is valid use in military terms. they do not use the usual orthography. Wandalstouring 14:04, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, that wasn't quite clear to me as you had also posted a different opinion. Just to make sure. Wandalstouring

Spam on fashion page

Hi Dan, that link was definitely spam. Someone's been adding links to that site all over Wikipedia, always in the 'external links' section, always unreferenced. I've never found any mention of it in my (alarmingly extensive) reading of fashion media, so I think they'd have trouble making a case of notability.

As a general rule, any contribution that consists solely of a link to a site, I just remove. As I understand it, the onus is on the person adding it to prove notability, not us!

Vandal Attack on Pearl Harbor article

Thanks for assist. I had reverted attacks twice and went to place warnings on the userpage of prankster only to find he was at it again. Maddening to say the least. HJ 15:33, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I came here to edit and contribute, but find myself preoccupied with protecting articles I care about due to persistent vandal attacks. Oh well. I'm chasing one right now. Cheers, HJ 15:43, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PS Thx for comment on pix. I just put them up last night. Wish I still had so many air-to-air opportunities.

VegaDark's Request for Adminship

Dan D. Ric

Thank you for supporting my RfA. It was successful at a unanimous 52/0/0. I hope I can live up to the kind words expressed of me there, and hope to now be more of an asset to the community with access to the tools. Please feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any suggestions for me in the future. Thanks again! VegaDark 07:16, 16 February 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Revert

It's okay, Sometimes on VandalProof, I just get so hung up in Rollbacks, that I do not see the "Revert" Summary. Thank you for telling me. I will now record a mistake in my VandalProof log. ~Steptrip (talk) 21:32, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

signing vandalism warnings reminder

thanks for the reminder. I've been a bit lax when leaving reminders on anon pages. (I always sign warnings on actual user pages.) --Lukobe 07:06, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

hi

hi Dan ! thanks for welcoming me on WP. Well, I contribute on the French WP so I basically know how it works but it's good to feel welcome... I use the English WP quite a lot so I had the feeling I could at least try to contribute in the measure of my (feable) means. Sorry if my English is poor, don't hesitate to tell me if you don't understand me ;-) Thanks and see u on WP ! Psychokate 14:00, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well done for having a go at this user... people like this really frustrate me. I've been working very hard lately to undo vandalism (we get very little recognition) and idiots like this just make our job harder. --Psicorps 22:02, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism Warnings??

When searching for something, there was a banner indicating I had a message regarding changes I made. There were a bunch of warnings about vandalism, however, I haven't even visited the pages mentioned. What is causing this??

Unsigned comment by User:155.201.35.50 - Dan D. Ric 19:51, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I put an AFD on the article since it looks like the admin is not going to review her decision and an Anon IP removed the prod statement. Hatch68 21:12, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My fiance grew up in Cleveland and remembers reading her as the word on the music scene there, so I created the article. But I couldn't find anything online to round it out better. There ought to be more, she's a pretty important figure in the Cleveland music scene. Cheers. Dina 17:22, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thank you

Just to satyr your curiosity, if you look at their contributions they were following random links from Talk main page, where I'd posted a comment. Just a random act of serial vandalism. --Monotonehell 14:59, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ARA trivia

Hey Dan, I added a bit if ARA trivia to Battle of An Loc#Helicopter history that might interest you. I have a copy of the source, if you ever need anything looked up. It lists every place name where Americans were in and around Vietnam, firebases, naval vessels, camps, towns, whatever, with grid coordinates, what units were there and when, bits of historic trivia, etc. See you around. - Crockspot 23:45, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question

Hey, just curious, but did you fly in the Ripcord AO? My cousin flew slicks in C/158/101, was KIA on 18 May 1970, about a click out of FB Bradley, just short of the ridgeline that runs between Co Pung Mountain and Coc Muen. (I think that is inside the "Warehouse area".) He went to Cobra school initially, but ended up flying slicks. You guys may have known each other in country or from WORWAC school. Shoot me an email if you want more details. - Crockspot 20:03, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal warning

Hello, and thanks for contributing to anti-vandalism. However, may I ask you to make sure you increase the level of vandal warning each time? Specifically, you can look at User talk:142.23.96.130; you placed exactly the same message I had placed 5 minutes earlier (a third level warning). Thanks, and continue on. Possible edit warring on project article

There seems to be some issues going on over on the article : Military history of African Americans, in particularly in the section Military history of African Americans#Confederate States Army. Could you take a look at the article's edit history as well as the discussion, Talk:Military history of African Americans, and possibly give some input? Thanks. Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Jane Scott rock critic 2008.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Jane Scott 2008.JPG. The copy called Image:Jane Scott 2008.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account.
