I Can't Feel My Face is the upcoming collaboration album between rappers Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana. Recording began in 2008 and ended in 2009, but contractual issues between the two rappers are delaying the album release. Two mixtapes containing possible tracks for this album have been released.

History

Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana, proposed making it as a mixtape in early 2006.[1][2] In July 2006, they proposed making it into an official, full-length album instead.[3][4] Mick Boogie, a DJ from Ohio, released a mixtape in late August 2006 titled Blow that contained 12 leaked tracks from the album recording sessions.[5] Recording and production reportedly concluded by summer 2007.[6] In a July 2007 interview with XXL magazine, Wayne proposed making an annual series of albums featuring various rappers.[7] Wayne recorded a track under this title in the DJ Khaled mixtape Da Drought 3.[8]

Juelz Santana told Angie Martinez in an interview on New York City hip-hop station Hot 97 that he blames the delay on the album on fellow Dipset rapper Cam'ron.[9] In April 2008, Santana stated that issues existed over his and Wayne's signing to different labels and thus announced plans for various mixtapes to promote "unity and creativity".[10] Cam'ron sold Juelz Santana's rights to Def Jam for 2 million dollars; Santana claimed that Camron blocked collaborations by other artists.[11] XXL magazine brought up the delay of the album release in a February 2009 interview with Santana, who replied that "contractual issues" were to blame and that he was talking to L.A. Reid about releasing this album before his own solo album.[12]

On March 29, 2009, the first versions of the two songs "Does What She Does"[13] and "With One Arm"[14] were published on website RapBasement.com.
