Trimming the list?

I believe some list trimming may be in order. For example, at what point is a character notable for inclusion? With some of them, I think they are included more for their stock roles (such as Anju in OoT and in Minish Cap). - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 02:10, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would think, at least, if they are mentioned in the Hyrule 'pedia, we can include them. Unless we agree that they are incredibly trivial, I guess. Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 07:21, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This comparison cannot go away. In fact, not listing it would be like denying the existance of the CDI games or Link's appearance in Soul Calibur II. It simply isn't encyclopedic enough. It is an obvious reference, and it is something people would use an encyclopedia for. An encyclopedia tries to give as much information on a subject as possible, which would also make any references to the subject readily available. People use encyclopedias to get as much info as possible, even if it isn't directly related to the subject. I don't know who decided what makes Dark Link who he is and why that wasn't a valid cameo. In Twilight Princess, the Triforce would be considered a cameo because it has no plot meaning other than the holder is chosen by the gods. --74.194.33.161 (talk) 11:21, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's original research unless it can be reliably sourced. Even if you think it's "obvious", it shouldn't be included unless there are sources to back it up. Haipa Doragon (talkcontributions) 15:12, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article's been axed

Here. While I don't want to revert this and start an edit war, we need to discuss it and decide if the bulk of editors agree with the removals, and how we can salvage as much info as appropriate. Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 21:11, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agahnim redirects here to nothing

Maybe he is not a "recurring" character but he is the main enemy of the third, and one of the most popular, Zelda games. Someone needs to correct this. 4.255.49.66 (talk) 09:44, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've redirected Agahnim to the ALttP page. -sesuPRIME 03:20, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Princess Zelda merge discussion

I see Princess Zelda has a merge discussion linking here, placed by a member of the WikiProject Video games. I Oppose the merge, since this well established cultural icon deserves her own article. Dream Focus 02:14, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I also Oppose the merge'. Princess Zelda is probably one of the most recognizable female video game characters of all, so merging wouldn't be the best decision. The article needs alot of work, but it could be brought up to standard. For one thing we need to fix that whole incarnation section, orget rid of it altogether. I think we should make it more like Mario's, making it appearance by year rather than putting it by game. We also need alot more citation, since almost everything in that article isn't sourced. It is doable though. -NintendoFan6 02:49, 20 August 2009
