Well..I will say this. I'm the very first person to add this to Wikipedia, you can check the history of the Taylor Swift page, which was the first place it appeared in. I totally support Taylor Swift. Kanye West shouldn't have discriminated her just because she's young, white, and sings country. Alot of people online are saying that race has nothing to do with this, and im suspecting that alot of those people are black. Race has alot to do with this unfortunately. Kanye has done this alot, like most of you know, and it's been against white people in support of other black artists, including himself. I don't want to get into an edit war over this. The sentence and the song are about a person, Drew Hardwick. Neither are not about the name Drew Hardwick. To say that he has a particular name is simply to identify that particular person. It makes no sense to say that it is about the name. You can have a song about a name, e.g. "A Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash (though even this could arguably be said to be about the person and not the name), but this is not an example of that. I agree the song is about the person, but the sentence as currently structured is about the fact that the person in question has a particular name, namely, "Drew Hardwick." To write "The song is about a person named Drew Hardwick" would be incorrect, because it states that Drew Hardwick is his own name; obviously that's wrong, because Drew Hardwick is a person, not a name. We could say "The song is about Drew Hardwick," but I kind of feel phrasing it that way implies that we expect people to know who Drew Hardwick is. I am completely confused by the quotation marks as they stand. If I see a proper name in quotes like this, my assumption would be that the song is about a literal real-life person Taylor Swift knew and the name in quotations was a pseudonym she used to protect his identity. If the song is actually about a guy by the name of Drew Hardwick, then it doesn't need quotation marks. However, I agree with VoluntarySlave that I don't see the point in actually NAMING the person especially since there's no notability to him that I can see. It's not like, say, "He Stopped Loving Her Today" which George Jones wrote it about Tammy Wynette, who has notability in being a famous country musician in her own right as well as the notability of being Jones' ex-wife. Does anyone have any idea who the user is that keeps adding vandalism to Taylor Swift's article. When I saw this article, this genius user wrotr profanity at the bottom of her page. They also wrote on the discography section; "to view an exhaustive list of her discography", which was so opinionated. This is an encyclopedia, if you can't follow the rules, don't write for us! Factual Error

In the article it says that LeAnn Rimes is Taylor Swift's Grandmother. This is impossible due to multiple things: Firstly, LeAnn Rimes is 25 years old and secondly she has no kids, let alone grand kids. The article is semi-protected, so I can't edit it, someone else should fix that.

P.S. The source cited for this error has no evidence to support the claim. All the source says is: "It seems fitting that Taylor's first idol in country music was LeAnn Rimes. "I knew every song she ever sang," she says. LeAnn at the time was 14 years old, just starting her career." (Source 2 on Taylor Swift Wiki)

In the artist information box, piano is listed as one of her instruments. I have never seen Swift playing piano while performing. If anyone has a picture or video clip please post it here; or we have to delete piano out of her instruments.

But if they are included, they need to be more than just an appearance or performance. Then her IMDB page is wrong. If you watch this video of True Hollywood Story based on Taylor Swift, you'll see that she is actually born in Wyomissing, PA not Reading, PA. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9yrtutnHjM&feature=channel I also read in articles that she was born in Wyomissing, PA. 12 String Guitar

No, it's not true. Beyonce was nominated for (and won) in the category 'Video of the Year.' Taylor Swift was nominated for (and won) in the category 'Best Female Video.' The two are two separate awards, and the distinction is important because Kanye wasn't trying to say that Taylor didn't deserve the award; he was simply acknowledging (in his weird way) that he thought Beyonce's video was great. - 21:22 14 Sept. 2009

While the MTV site suggests Beyonce wasn't nominated, many sources suggest she was. At first I wondered if they were mistaken but in fact if you look at the comments here [2] it appears it's definite she was nominated and this is clear if you watch the award show. I presume the MTV site is mistaken or perhaps it was removed for some reason relating to this controversy. Regardless while we probably can't source things to the comment section even of a newspaper blog and by the blog owner, we can source, as we should, to all the secondary sources which do say she was nominated Nil Einne (talk) 14:34, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Just a quick note, the site didn't list her earlier hence the earlier confusion from multiple sources. Unfortunately I didn't take a webcite archive so can't prove this but there was definitely only 5 videos listed before Nil Einne (talk) 14:44, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

I went ahead and moved a big section of philanthropy to personal life. Business agreements and corporate endorsements are not philanthropy. In fact, they don't belong under personal life either.
