The BSA/St. Francis Square Twin Towers are an adjacent towering skyscraper located at Ortigas Center. The towers had 51 floors aboveground and 6 basement levels for parking usage. The twin towers is located at Bank Drive via St. Francis Square avenue. This high rise towers are among the distinctive landmarks in Metro Manila. The towers is a part of the St. Francis Square complex consisting of the towers proper and the St. Francis Square Mall. The The St. Francis Shangri-La is expected to surpass its current title as the tallest twin tower structure constructed in the Philippines. The twin towers is some of the many skyscraper to sculpt the Ortigas skyline. It is the seventh tallest skyscraper in the Philippines and the tallest in the city of Mandaluyong. Because the towers material construction had been cheap and disposable, only a limited weight is allowed.[6]
Location
The BSA Twin Towers are situated in a business district in Metro Manila, at the Ortigas Center with SM Megamall to its right, and close to the Shangri-La Complex.[7]
Features and Amenities
The twin towers has 51 floors and 6 level underground parking.[3] The towers are part of the St. Francis Square complex that includes the St. Francis Square Mall and had a balcony on every storey for each residential rooms which offers a view of the landscape. A restaurant is located at the foot of the towers, notably used by ordinary passerby. There are two malls beneath the towers and a nearby MRT station along the EDSA highway. An observation deck is expected to be built on the top of tower one.
Controversy - As of December 2009, the two buildings remain unoccupied and in the brink of stagnation.
