Just a question
Im asking since i'm not at all very sure, but would appearances in Variety/Reality shows count as part of an acting career. The article in question is about T.O.P NPeeerbvsesz (Push) 08:37, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- I understand. So any one off appearances is not really notable to be mentioned on Wikipedia for a Korean star . I seem to removing those 'one off' appearance on variety shows for T.O.P but a certain user keeps re-editting them. Oh well, I'll have to stop in order to avoid an edit war. NPeeerbvsesz (Push) 16:47, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks
Its a pleasure dealing with nice and friendly people such as yourself on wikipedia, if only others were the same...:) have a great day!--Maester Seymour (talk) 17:13, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Google Translator is weird...
Can you give me a quicksummary of this:

Breathe on Me Cover
That's not fake cover, it is a remix cd/ vinyl cover! PlatinumFire (talk) 23:22, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Well it's not me who put that cover there but I think it should be there. And I added to the article that it's an unofficial release cause it is unknown if it is otherwise! PlatinumFire (talk) 11:59, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Question about the tags
I am not sure where to put this but no one visits the discussion board for the article so I'm writing this here. hehe. I am editing out the article Family Outing, and I am new at editing wikipedia articles, so i was just wondering what specifically should be added on the article or revised. The tags you added are for additional references, list of misc, and not encyclopedic.
Since most of the information written are personally created and edited based on the show itself, i thought everything was factual, this is referring to the additional references and the not encyclopedic tags.
What specific part on the article is the list of miscellaneous one? Is it the guests section? Lastly, since I am not a Korean, just a fan, I based some of the editing from various english subbed videos. I crossed referenced some of them, with the information written. Hoping to be assisted, hehe. Thanks. Mariolawpanda (talk) 09:45, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Family Outing
Thanks for the info. I'll try to find more sources. It's kinda hard since I really don't understand korean at all. hehe. But thanks, and I'll "try" to read up more on the guidelines here and all. thanks again. :3 Mariolawpanda (talk) 18:59, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Twitter, etc.
I believe that twitter and offical (I believe that may mean run by the party in question) fan sites are good as external links if they are in fact run by the party in question (the reason that templates for them have survived deletion attempts) ... so I would deduce that material from them is fine as well.--VMAsNYC (talk) 06:17, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
About G-dragon's wikipedia
The reason why I erased the information you posted is because you erased all of the information which I posted. I have edited the career, music style, and biography of G-Dragon and you erased it all. I'm not gonna lie that was quite a rude action that you made. Why don't you explain why you erased all those facts first before you criticize anything that I do?.--marbles111 (talk) 29 September 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marbles1111 (talk • contribs) 22:51, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
I don't think that it is you who is changing the G-Dragon's wikipedia page every time. I remember the ip address of the person who was changing the page not "neutrally" but instead, he or she was erasing all the facts (including awards and collaboration information) and merely added the negative stories which were not even true at the time. Please note that someone was doing this on purpose that was not sincere and was rather bias towards this indivisual. They erased all the right facts without talking on this talk page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marbles1111 (talk • contribs) 23:56, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
Memoirs...
Well I'm affraid that's unlikely at the moment. If something turns up I will add it. But if you Google other stuff for artists you may not find something saying "This album has gone platinum". I think her website and head on Universal music would know. But to put your mind at ease I will look around for a different source but if I can't find it I think the current source should stay. Jayy008 (talk) 22:00, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Recieving a Platinum plaque would just mean being certified Platinum though? I doubt they'd give her a platinum plaque if she didn't actually go Platinum. I mean she may not have sold Platinum only shipped! Jayy008 (talk) 09:03, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Korean certifications
I got this request on my talk page, and I don't have a Korean certification source. Can you help?—Kww(talk) 01:39, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel
Someone's infalted the figures again can you sort it out? I don't know which editor it was but I saw you corrected it before Jayy008 (talk) 23:40, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Ok thanks. No it was Memoirs I think as I clicked history to look who did it, you had just fixed it at the same time but thanks for the info! Jayy008 (talk) 16:38, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Korea
Hi SKS, I saw your post on the discussion on the charts page about Billboard Korea and I clicked the link and the website seems to be up and running but I can't make sense of it. Can you have a look at it? Jayy008 (talk) 22:26, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
That's very strange, and leaves us with a dilemma. I don't mind what to do but since it's first week seems to be #2, I think maybe we should re-edit the page to include the official chart website citation instead rather than Carey's website. Although it only sold 529, is that reliable? Maybe it shipped enough to go Platinum, I think for the certification that should stay but the chart should be changed to #2. What are your thoughts? Jayy008 (talk) 21:42, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
International
As you're the only one who replied I thought I'd reply here, I agree so I'm going to remove the international listing for Japan on Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel but keep Taiwan as I have no idea where the main where is (Help please if possible) to add it.
As for Korea as we spoke of above, Hanteo lists as #2, I'm thinking maybe her website exaggerated it OR maybe Korea has an international chart and they meant #1 for international?
Please reply with your thoughts on this Jayy008 (talk) 19:46, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Right I understand what you mean. It's very debatable but I removed International Japan charts. I don't know why it all has to be so confusing. For now I will leave Korea as #1 or do you think I should change it to the Hanteo number with Hanteo source?
Also lastly Taiwan do you know if they have a main chart? Jayy008 (talk) 20:04, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Thank you! Right one more thing before I go, do you know of a particular user I can ask about Japan charts, I have asked Kww but I don't know if he would know. Jayy008 (talk) 20:13, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Korea revisted
Sorry to bother you again and make a new section but I've noticed something on the Hanteo pages on the monthly chart Whitney Houston's sales are there and on the weekly charts Mariah Carey's sales are there and on the yearly chart Paul Potts. All the #2 postions on the 3 charts they are show the sales. But the other chart positions have clickable links.
As you're the only user who reads Korean can you explain why or research. If you need the links just ask Jayy008 (talk) 20:22, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Korean certifications and charts
Hi, I happened upon a thread where you were mentioned as an expert on recent Korean record certifications and chartings! I wonder if you have access to any information from previous decades there. I'm interested in information about Laura Branigan. She had a South Korean greatest hits album in 1988. Was there a pop chart in Korea throughout the '80s and were any of her singles or albums chart hits and/or certified there in the '80s or '90s? I know that four of her studio albums charted in Japan, but I've never been able to find any information about the Korean market, other than that the greatest hits collection was released there. I'd be obliged if you could enlighten me, or point me to where I might search (in English) for the information. I'll watch this page for your response. Thanks, Abrazame (talk) 21:06, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hey. :) And I'm not an expert; I just happened to be one of the few Wikipedia users who a) can understand Korean and b) edit a lot in the music area of Wikipedia. Anyway, here's the thing: Korean chart statistics are hard to come by, because there isn't one main source for that, unfortunately. There used to be a Recording Industry Association of Korea (which somehow shortened to MIAK) that has statistics from the 90s to now, but the group has since been disbanded and replaced by the Korea Music Content Industry Association, which has no sales data whatsoever as of yet. (In other words, the Korean equivalent of the RIAA just disappeared, and any info it had with it.) And with Korea in general, it's extremely hard for non-Korean speakers to get any info. Like, because I can read Korean, I can try looking up "로라 브레니건" (Laura Branigan in Korean) and trying to find news on her, but it's extremely difficult. There's only one news result on Google, for example. And any current online resources (like Hanteo, which is essentially a sales tracking company) would only have recent sales (for the past couple of years), and most likely you would have to pay for the numbers/certifications.
- I wish I could be of more help to you, but as I didn't grow up in Korea, I would have no idea how chart stats would have worked back then (not that I have a good grasp of them now). The only other way I could think of would be to access Laura's label's site in Korean and seeing if there are any facts on there (but again, that would require the ability to read and understand the language).
- Let me know if I can clarify anything else. SKS (talk) 21:49, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for your response! It's a shame that the MIAK information was lost—perhaps a suggestion that there was reason for not trusting the figures? And I guess that wouldn't even have covered the '80s when Branigan had her biggest successes. If you should ever happen to stumble upon anything official for that decade, I'd love to know, but it sounds unlikely. Branigan and Atlantic Records parted ways nine years before her untimely death, and while her two biggest albums are still in print on the Atlantic label (others are re-issues on sister labels), the '80s seem to be a lost decade for the company in terms of their stewardship of information about Branigan and even her master recordings. Thanks again, and best wishes, Abrazame (talk) 03:53, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Girls Generation
Hi!
Sorry, I didn't realise I'd left Jessica out of the infobox! God only knows what that IPs beef is with her but they certainly don't seem to like her. I've never even heard of the group before today. Sorry again :) --5 albert square (talk) 22:34, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Re: Your reply. How did you 'win'? The page exists now, as I said it would. Also, I wasn't even discussing Korean pop, so that comment wasn't even relevant. (Paul237 (talk) 18:19, 27 November 2009 (UTC))
Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel / Mariah Carey
The honeybfly fan club really had the track listing of the remixed album. I'm so sorry if I am too excited to put in the sources. Thanks for the reminders. 112.201.50.67 (talk) 08:42, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
Guy Sebastian (Winner Australian Idol 2003)
Hi SKS2K2
Just off to work in a minute and noticed your message about listing the above article for deletion. I have taken on board your comments and will read up on the deletion process from the links you supplied so I understand how it all works.
I guess the problem is that this information was on the main Guy Sebastian article but it was removed because the article is getting too long even with trimming off contributions as they become no longer current or relevant, however his Idol win and the songs performed are an important part of his life as this is what launched his career. So I guess any suggestions about where to put this information should the article be deleted would be gratefully received as putting it back on the main article will really impact on the length of an already long article.
Bye for now.
Kind regards

hello! uhm...just reli wanna ask you by trivia..do u mean the lyrics and composition? becoz i actually feel that it is an information regarding about their singing career..it is definiely not a trivia but a factual relevant infomation about their career..and more importantly bout their songs. I did not delete anything from the previous article but merely just added more to it.
Can you please tell me what informations have i added are "Unsourced Materials"???? Thank You! Evaz93 (talk) 06:28, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
First of all, the fact that they have written their own lyrics are proven when they talk about the songs they wrote in interviews and variety shows.
ok..why arent the music bank and inkigayo awards?? I got the number of copies being sold from k pop articles

Big Bang
I was wondering whether you would agree on just removing the bios on each member of big bang and just replace them with a set of links to their individual articles.
I am suggesting this because a lot of good articles such as The Fray and Aerosmith have just a very brief list of their members. Plus TVXQ, does not even have a triv like list of members. I'm sure that 'The Fray' and 'Aerosmith' have their own different consensus given the fact they are actual instrument playing bands and Big Bang is a korean boy group. However, this section is merely a lot of fan triv, most of which is already incorporated into their respective articles already. Deleting it without discussion would probs lead to a fangirl/boy uproar. I'm asking for your opinion since I'm getting nothing from the Big Bang talk page :/ NPeeerbvsesz (Push) 17:03, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
Cheers :D
Thanks, K Pop article often need a lot of work due to fanboys/girls. I was, similarly, pretty much in a 'cannot be asked' mood when editing the U Kiss article ;) Even though, you need a bit of praise when it comes to K Pop articles, since you do much of the editing & cleaning up. :D NPeeerbvsesz (Push) 10:13, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
pictures removed
I dont know whats your reason of moving down beast pictures, but anycase if you think i cant use that picture, please do upload yourself, cause it seems pretty rude to me that you just destroyed someone work and left on your own. please do have some courteousy though I dont know how to upload a picture correctly but do understand that beast wiki page is mostly done by me alone , so please, at least tell me a reason before you delete something, many thanksNicky456 (talk) 16:29, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

SNSD Oh! Album removal
You did a really rude action.
Firstly, I am fine with you removing the promotional poster. But at least I gave an copyright code which the other user didn't gave. Next, even though allkpop is not a reliable source. At least it provides english news to fans around the world. Third, I edited the History section to make it more accurate as SM Entertainment DID NOT confirmed that the group will be back in February 2010. <- that was just rumors. But you removed it away. Fourth, Promotions section. Oh! is an album. Yes, but under the promotion section, adding of the 30sec teaser was needed. This will show that there's a teaser being release to promote the new album.
Kindly explain your reason for doing so as I think this was a really rude action you did. In which I had spent like 1-2 hours trying to edit the page. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SmilesMemories (talk • contribs) 19:00, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
