Thanks for the heads up. I contacted the company and also the lyricfind company and they sent me the information regarding their right to show lyrics. They said that it is not a copyright violation as long as the lyrics are posted on lyrics.com and you aren't copying the lyrics and posting on other pages. Hope that clears it up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trlager (talkcontribs) 22:25, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

TVXQ birthdays - ta-da!

Hey, a friend of mine who read our "citations please!" notes on the TVXQ page regarding Junsu's birthday just sent me a Youtube link with subtitles in which Junsu is allegedly explaining the birthday thing. I'm working on getting a show name and date, but do you mind watching the first 30 seconds or so to see if the subtitles (made by fans) actually match the audio?[1] I was under the impression you know Korean. If not, we'll find someone who does! =D I'm so excited, LOL. --hamu♥hamu (TALK) 05:34, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

edit: show is KM News We Want to Know TVXQ! - Junsu; 2006.01.23 --hamu♥hamu (TALK) 05:39, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Sweeeeeet. Thanks! Embarrassingly, I've had that interview, with subtitles on my hard drive all along. But it's sitting with about a gazillion other files, and I tend to watch Junsu stuff only when I have nothing else to watch, so... LOL! --hamu♥hamu (TALK) 05:41, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Favor?

Hey, Can I ask a favor sort of related to the Koran Pop Culture work group? I've been doing a ton of work on Korean comics as part of Wikiproject Comics, and I've gotten to a point with some of the series titles where I'm just not sure if I've got them right. I've used an online romanizer and have tried looking the series up various ways and have most of them figured out. But some of them I'm just stuck on. Would you mind terribly looking at a list I have, and just seeing if there's anything that's romanized in a manner that's utterly ridiculous, or if any are simply phonetic spellings of English words that I didn't catch? I'm not really looking to translate a title that's not been released in English; I just don't want to put this stuff in an article and then have every Korean who comes along go OMG WHAT AN IDIOT! :P The list is on the talk page of List of series run in Comic Champ. If you're bored and want to look over the main list, be my guest, but it's the ones on the talk page I'm mostly stressing about. I'd really, really appreciate it!! --hamu♥hamu (TALK) 22:21, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh,okay. But about the minor edits thing: Isn't it a minor edit to add a few words? Big T.V. Fan (talk) 20:59, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

about Korean album/single

  • (sorry for my bad english—i'm en-1) Korean singles are different from other countries' singles. They include too many song to be singles. I think Korean singles should be regarded as EPs. So, I think, you can describe So Hot as a album firstly. ko-2이시길래 한국어로도 써봅니다. --Ksiom (talk) 02:41, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
    • 음.. 싱글 곡과 싱글 앨범 문서를 따로 만들자는 의견이 아니라, 제 말은 글을 앨범을 주(主)로 하여 쓰는게 나을 것 같다는 생각입니다. 예를 들면 'So Hot' 문서의 첫 문장을 ' So Hot is the mini-album....' 이런 식으로 하고, 아래에 곡에 대한 설명을 썼으면 합니다. 한국어판 문서처럼요. 한국어판 문서를 한 번 참조해 보세요. --Ksiom (talk) 15:34, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Rock music WikiProject

I'd like to invite you to join the newly-formed Rock music WikiProject. There's alot of Rock-related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help us get this project off the ground and a few Rock music pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks! --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 13:25, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

"Isis Tsunami"

The name "Isis Tsunami" is an alias. In the past, Top Model contestants who have gone by non-birth names on the show (Heather "Chantal" Jones, Erica "Nik" Pace, Lyudmila "Mila" Bouzinova, Melissa Rose "Melrose" Bickerstaff) have had their show aliases included in quotes on their respective Wikipedia "Still in the Running" cast lists. It's a precedent that has been established. Tootie Banks (talk) 23:00, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Girl Friends

A tag has been placed on Girl Friends requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Alexf42 21:04, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Just written poorly

Did you mean your edit summary referring to the contents that I wrote or my English? If it is the first one, well, I take stronger offense from your reckless comment. I have spent a lot of time writing the article. I filled more than half of the contents and you just inserted very a few info. You seem to read my request for copy-editing the article at WT:KO. Just because you're a native speaker, you have a right to mock non-native speakers? I don't appreciate uncivil editors even if their contributions are good. TVXQ Controversy with the Chinese women

The section's creating a little more controversy than it's supposed to be because there are so many different versions of the event. The only sources that I have for it are in Chinese news sites, which, although valid, are severely biased. In fact, one of them has already been proven to be at least partially wrong (one of the women was not pregnant). If I found any Korean sources about the event, would you be able to translate them? Thanks. - rairakku(talk to me) 06:43, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

The lack of Korean sources is a little disturbing. I've searched Newsen and KBS, neither of which has mentioned the event at all, and Daum and Naver, both of which contain only fan speculation (some very angry ones, too). I... have no idea what to do at this point, but I'll let you know if I find anything. - rairakku(talk to me) 06:06, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

"Touch My Body"

Hey there SKS2K6, I saw your reply at Wikipedia talk:Record charts and went over to take a look at "Touch My Body". I was able to cut the charts down to thirty, as most charts were straight out fake (one was even hosted on Blogger). Don't be intimidated to remove hoax charts if IPs re-add them—hoaxes are hoaxes, and shouldn't be on Wikipedia. I've added the article to my watchlist, so I'll keep a close eye on it. If there are any other articles with this problem, I'll gladly look them over and keep an eye on them. DiverseMentality 07:32, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. It's just that it got so TEDIOUS. If you look at the edit history, it was basically me removing charts, and User:Justar and some IP (I think 192...something) adding them back in repeatedly. SO I just gave up. :P (Same applies for all the song articles from Mariah's current album.) But yeah... SKS2K6 (talk) 07:58, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

I know how stressful it can get, especially when people add these charts even after several warnings. It's a lot of work, but it has to be done (User:Kww is the person who works the hardest with these problems). We just need more users enforcing WP:BADCHARTS. Request to move article Mirotic (album) incomplete

You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page Mirotic (album) to a different title - however your proposal is either incomplete or has been contested as being controversial. As a result, it has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete after five days will be removed.

Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:

  1. Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
  2. Added a place for discussion at the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved. This can easily be accomplished by adding {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the page, which will automatically create a discussion section there.
  3. Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.

If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. - JPG-GR (talk) 00:29, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

M! Countdown & SBS Inkigayo

I adding/(doing minor) rewriting and I saw this "SHINee's "Love Like Oxygen" was the #1 song on M! Countdown. A few days afterwards, SHINee received the mutizen award for "Love Like Oxygen" on SBS Inkigayo." I know nothing about either show so can you explain to me what these two shows are? I ask this because I was going to remove it. (Moon) and (Sunrise) 15:23, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Never mind, I kinda get the guise of them. But do you think they should stay in the article? (Moon) and (Sunrise) 15:45, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
I know nothing about Korean names, so I was wonder how do you chose which spelling of the name is correct. I separated the names because their official site did. But looking at the booklets and the covers from their albums, it shows their names are together (like Jong Hyun is Jonghyun according to the booklet and album covers). I hope that made sense and sorry for bothering you with all these questions. Oh and on a different topic how do you think the page looks? (Moon) and (Sunrise) 21:05, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

TVXQ

Question. Does this (전설을 먹고 사는 고래) really translate to "A Whale That Eats Legends" or "Whales Living Legend" (I got this from Google Translation). I'm currently trying to clean up the article because it is so messy. Thanks in advance. (Moon) and (Sunrise) 03:19, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Shinee GA

Looking at the article, it looks like it is a perfect candidate. So, do you think Shinee is ready for a Good Article review? (Moon) and (Sunrise) 02:31, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your response. I was also thinking because they are new the article might not pass. I found an article and used Google's Translator and it translated this (샤이니의 종현은 메인보컬 강타 역을, 태민은 장우혁 역을 맡는 등 HOT선배들의 역할을 한 명씩 맡아 노래와 안무 파트를 훌륭히 소화했다) into this (The main singer of the hit jonghyeon syayini role, taking on the role of Tommy, and the HOT Jang Woo Hyuk one you take the role of the singing and choreography was by far the great part). I just want to know if it is actually correct in naming Jonghyun the lead singer. (Moon) and (Sunrise) 17:36, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

One more....

Please translate this, if you can.

To.

Sorry it must be annoying that I ask you for translations. I want to make sure that I get all the information correct so when either article (Shinee or TVXQ) goes up for a GA or FAC that all the information is accurate. (Moon) and (Sunrise) 17:49, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

gpradio.com.br

Don't go too fast or get too agressive with this one, please. A quick look over the site tells me that it is a survey of about 60 Brazilian stations. If JuStar can point me at some better descriptions and find me a search mechanism, I might start pushing to accept it. We need a Brazilian chart. It's a huge market, and I'm tired of deleting references to it everywhere.—Kww(talk) 04:18, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Crowley Broadcast Analysis is a multinational company specialized in electronic monitoring of radio that operates in Brazil since 1997. It is TOTTALLY OFFICIAL. I found it today. :) However, we can't access charts at Crowley Broadcast Analysis without paying for a subscription. I found some pdf. files through google. It is extremely difficult to find.

Please, do not remove this chart again from Mariah Carey's articles. "JuStar" (talk) 04:26, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

I haven't decided whether this chart is good or bad. I'm just asking to avoid edit-warring over it for a while, and let's calmly research it. It's the most promising news on the Brazilian front I've seen for a while. Yesterday I reverted over a hundred insertions of the "Brazil Hot 100", issued three final vandalism warnings over it, and got one editor blocked over it. I'm tired, and I feel like Hans Brinker with his finger in the dike. If there's a way to source legitimate Brazilian chart positions, I'm all for it. I'd even set a little lower threshold for inclusion based on necessity ... if it's not a perfect chart, but searchable, not single network or retail chain, and backed by a reliable authority, I'd go for it.—Kww(talk) 13:54, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
I've started a discussion at WT:Record charts#Brazilian charts.—Kww(talk) 03:42, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Something is rotten in Korea

With regards to this edit: if your analysis is correct, the "before" and "after" in the succession chart must be wrong, because those are clearly Korean titles by Korean artists.—Kww(talk) 04:21, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

The recent Japanese fetish for Korean soap operas caused me similar troubles. I'm surprised that those qualified for the foreign chart, though.—Kww(talk) 04:33, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Official Brazilian Airplay charts

I finally decided that the main problem was that they were leaks of private data, not intended for public consumption. I'll try to take care of it.—Kww(talk) 12:07, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

The "evidence" section is pretty much free-format, but the way I do it is pretty standard: an explanation of why I think the two accounts are connected, how that connection constitutes a disruption, and diffs or edit histories to support my case.—Kww(talk) 22:25, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Edit summaries on BLP-sources edits

Hi, I see you're adding {{BLP sources}} to some articles with a misleading edit summary like "blp article with no sources; tagged as such" ([4]). That's a good summary for {{BLP unsourced}}, i.e., where there are no sources; but not for articles that have sources, but whose sourcing could be improved. I'm not sure if this was just a blip, I just saw it pop up on an article I monitor, and thought I'd give you a heads-up in case you're making a lot of similar edits. I have no problem with {{BLP sources}} tag itself on this article, of course; it only has two sources, and could certainly use more. TJRC (talk) 19:59, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Taeyeon Article

Okay, I will redo the article and find some more sources to prove her worth. Uh since I'm new here, do I just do my article again here? Kim Taeyeon Haha I don't see where you are coming from, can you explain that again? User:TaeyeonSaranghae (talk) 9:10, April 23rd, 2009 (UTC)

Okay I think I get it. Like, in comparison, YoonA is noteworthy for her dramas right? Okay so I have to find something that makes Taeyeon unique? I will attempt this again tomorrow. User:TaeyeonSaranghae (talk) 9:10, April 23rd, 2009 (UTC)

Picture

I did not use flickr for the image. I used a picture from wikipedia that somebody else uploaded. TaeyeonSaranghae (talk) 19:13, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

89.214.*.*

Keep an eye out for anonymous edits by 89.214.*.* on articles you would expect JuStar to edit. She's been hopping IPs to evade her blocks, and there's too much collateral damage to just hardblock the range.—Kww(talk) 01:06, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Thank you

I would like to thank you for your help with reverting Mammamia9905 vandalizing edits and improving Mariah Carey related articles. Now that Mammamia9905 is blocked indefinitely, we can make these articles reliable as only they can be. Max24 (talk) 11:22, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

dates in kpop article

Hello! I was sorry to you about my caerless edit of date in Girl's Generation. I should be more careful to check that in the next time. My opinion that the specific calendar detail is "excessive detail". What do you think, SKS2K6? Nxo (talk) 18:10, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Regarding SNSD Positions

I understand that there is not official position in a group other than the leader. Nobody in the group calls themselves as lead dancer, main vocal, lead dancer and main dancer. However, positiong can be inferred from their songs and their performances. As one of the big fan of SNSD, not only me but lot of netizens (Internet users in Korea) in Korea basically "set" the positioning for SNSD. In Wikipedia Korean versions speaks of the position. I personally see the positioning as well.

Hyoyeon and Yuri are main dancers because they dance together when it comes to dance break. When it comes to high parts, Jessica and Taeyeon cover most of it. In climax, it usually starts with SeoHyun, received by Jessica and finished by Taeyeon. This is not only visible to me, but to many of other fans and netizens as well.

Therefore even though it is really hard for me to pinpoint where it clearly states someone is "main vocal" or "lead vocal." every position is pretty much assumed or decided by the majority of viewers. What I had written was approved and officially understood by many Korean netizens from Cyworld, and Naver.. two most important portal sites (such as Yahoo, Google) in Korea

I hope you can see my point why I keep trying to enter the positions. (By the way, I'm not quite good with the signing so I hope I did right) --Kmc10314 (talk) 00:10, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

SNSD Positions

I got your point, but some of main ones are visible, as it is pointed in Wonder Girls articles. Every members sings and dances but there are parts where only certain members do certain things; like it is almost Hyoyeon who dances on dance break time in "Intro to New World" along with Yoona and Yuri occasionally. You said they sing interchangeably but it is always Taeyeon and Jessican who gets climax part rather than other member. SeoHyun part is kind of tricky since some songs start with other members such as Taeyeon or someone else. I'm not just insisting because netizens say but there are something called commonly accepted truth. --Kmc10314 (talk) 01:05, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Your comment

Re: this edit summary. It's been horrible in this area for a month. It's been a long edit war between Max24 (who at least seems to be trying to do the right thing) and sockpuppets of JuStar and Petergriffin9901. We've even had JustarR24, who, per his talk page, was Petergriffin9901 imitating JuStar. Some attention to the area from someone that cares is certainly in order.—Kww(talk) 18:09, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Comments welcome at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/JuStar‎.—Kww(talk) 15:49, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

It has been tagged for speedy deletion. I'm not entirely sure as to what to say as a protest against its tagging. But many K-pop fans will know that it is a very notable company. Could you possibly help me out. Thanks. NPeeerbvsesz (Push) 21:58, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks:) It's weird that the page was tagged though. NPeeerbvsesz (Push) 22:05, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
