Proposed deletion of Evangelical Lutheran Diocese of North America

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Evangelical Lutheran Diocese of North America, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

WP:N, tagged since 9/07 w/o improvement. No 3d-party RS in EL. Zero significant G-news hits.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. April 2009

In a recent edit to the page Major League Lacrosse, you changed one or more words from one international variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to other English-speaking countries, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the appropriate variety of English used there. If it is an international topic, use the same form of English the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, you can ask me on my talk page or you can visit the help desk. Thank you. Yarnalgo talk to me 22:20, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TCF Bank Stadium GA Sweeps: On Hold

I have reviewed TCF Bank Stadium for GA Sweeps to determine if it still qualifies as a Good Article. In reviewing the article I have found several issues, which I have detailed here. Since you are a main contributor of the article (determined based on this tool), I figured you would be interested in contributing to further improve the article. Please comment there to help the article maintain its GA status. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. --Happy editing! Ventura

If you have a source that that's his legal name, that seems fine. But did he appear as "James Janos" on the ballot? john k (talk) 20:35, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to change it back then. john k (talk) 17:23, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

MSU nat'l titles

The other Big Ten schools have only their "College Football Data Warehouse Recognized" national championships listed at Big Ten Conference football champions. See here: NCAA_Division_I_FBS_National_Football_Championship#College_Football_Data_Warehouse_Recognized_National_Champions

Also see here for MSU specifically: http://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/div_ia/bigten/michigan_state/championships.php

'52, '65, '66 are generally recognized. '51, '55, '57 were not consensus. I know the idea of a nat'l title is pretty wishy-washy, but there should be consistency on the page if it is to note nat'l titles at all.

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Smith03! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 9 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 674 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

translation impossible?

There is a discussion going on whether the name of that German church body can be translated or not (it appears like this on the english pages of this church's homepage). One user changed the name of this Church (actually a federation of several Lutheran, United and Reformed churches) and it's regional member churches to the German form because he says their names can't get translated. so the article on the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria now appears under its German name because he says the "concept" can't be translated into English. Please go to the discusson page of the Evangelical Church in Germany and have your say --93.130.249.56 (talk) 02:32, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
