FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih (Ukrainian: ФК «Кривбас» Кривий Ріг, Russian: ФК «Кривбасс» Кривой Рог FC Krivbass Krivoy Rog) is a professional football club from Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. The club currently plays in Ukrainian Premier League and is based in the Metalurg Stadium, which seats 29,782.

Brief overview

The team was founded as FC Kryvyi Rih in 1959. Next year it was part of the republican sport society Avanhard. After couple of years it changed to Hirnyk, before obtaining current name in 1966.

Promotions and demotions

Kryvbas debuted in the Ukrainian Premier League in the 1992-1993 season. They have been in the top league since their debut. Their best finish was in third place in the 1998-99 and 1999-2000 seasons.
