Varan
Varan (バラン - Baran, after Latin Varanus) is a daikaiju that first appeared in the 1958 Toho tokusatsu Varan the Unbelievable (大怪獣バラン - Daikaijū Baran, "Giant Monster Varan"). He was killed by swallowing dynamite hidden in a sky flare, and sank to the bottom of the sea.
He later made a brief cameo appearance in the Godzilla film Destroy All Monsters (1968).
