Dill Mill Gayye (translation: The Hearts Met) is an Indian soap medical drama television series that airs on STAR One. It is the sequel of the television series Sanjivani, which aired on STAR Plus channel. It follows the lives of surgical interns and resident doctors of Sanjeevani. It is slightly inspired from the ABC show Grey's Anatomy.
Plot
Dill Mill Gayye follows the lives of surgical interns and resident doctors of Sanjeevani. Set in the backdrop of Sanjeevani Hospital, it deals with the pressures, drama, romance, inter personal relationships and humour in the lives of the young doctors.[1]
First Season Storyline
The first season follows the lives of surgical interns and resident doctors of Sanjeevani. The show starts off with introduction of 5 interns Dr. Riddhima Gupta the protagonist who also happens to be Dr. Shashank's daughter from the prequel, Dr. Armaan Mallik, Dr. Anjali Gupta, Dr. Atul Joshi, and Dr. Sapna Shah. Armaan and Riddhima start to fall in love after a rough start, Dr. Atul falls in love with Dr. Anjali who is Riddhima's sister. Dr. Sapna Shah Gets Married and leaves Sanjeevani. 2 new Interns Enter: Dr. Rahul Garewal, Dr. Muskaan Chadda, and Dr Nikita Malhotra. Dr. Shashank continues to play an important role in this sequel of Sanjivani as the head of the hospital and father of Riddhima and Anjali. Season I ended on a cliffhanger showing Riddhima and Armaan getting shot by terrorists.
Second Season Storyline
After six month leap, 5 new interns enter while the previous interns become doctors. Armaan and Riddhima are still missing. Nikkita and Atul become resident doctors of Sanjeevani. The rest of the interns have passed internship and are no longer in Sanjeevani. The second season introduces 5 new interns : Dr. Siddhant Modi, Dr. Tamanna Patil, Dr. Naina Mehta, Dr. Yuvraj Singh and Dr. Jitendra Prasad. Tamanna and Siddhant fall in love. But later, they break up and Tamanna gets engaged to another man leaving to Canada with her fiance. Soon, Dr. Riddhima Gupta returns to Sanjeevani. Dr. Siddhant and Dr. Riddhima end up getting Married under unavoidable circumstances. Currently, Dr. Armaan Mallik is making a re-entery in the show and now the story will take different twists and turns in the lives of Armaan, Riddhima and Sidddhant.[2]
