Rock Martin
I am now looking at the Irwin paper I mentioned in the FAC. He says there is an important division between larger, robust, heavy-billed martins, "plain brown above and a uniform dull reddish below" from central Angola south to the Cape Province and east to Transvaal; and a smaller, finer-billed form, "much darker, more sooty brown above, with the throat buff rather than reddish and the chest, flanks and abdomen strongly suffused with dusky brown, not reddish" from Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) north to 15 N. That's apparently subspecies fusciventris; the other group is subspecies fuligula, pretoriae, and anderssoni. He says the two groups are very distinct and could even be regarded as distinct species, but he collected five in the Pesu Gorge, Rhodesia, which are intermediate: dark brown above like fusciventris and rich reddish below like fuligula etc., but more bright and cinnamon. He also gives weights of 18.5–23.6 g (mean 21.2 g) for twenty martins from Durban. Irwin suggests the two groups had previously been isolated, but were probably hybridizing on secondary contact.
I'm not sure how much of this needs to be in the article and will leave that to you. Ucucha 13:39, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
why did you delete AMCP article
Hi Jimfbleak. I'm new to Wikipedia, so please forgive my ignorance. But why did you immediately delete my article on AMCP? I believe it is a legitimate and "notable" association, similar to the American Pharmacists Association site that is on wikipedia. I tried to make the article as neutral and factual as possible. We're not trying to promote or advocate for any position or seek publicity. Please let me know what I can do to make the article acceptable. Thanks, Neallearner (talk) 19:41, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi.
Can I know what's the difference between "The Certification Basis of PM" and "PMP Credential" or other certifications?
Italian Project Management Institute is a no-profit Organization and no promotion issue exists.
Similar pages have been accepted; therefore for me it's unequal your decision of deleting the page.

Bernard Lapassett
Hi, I've translated a page from French wikipedia. you deleted it. I've now added the required tags on the Bernard Lapasset talk page. The page I made is now at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Rejoyce1976/Bernard_Lapasset
ok to re add it to EN wikipedia?
There were references, but they're all to French Articles, so I removed them, I thought a reference to the French article would be enough, its more or less a direct translation

The Certification Basis of PM
Hi.
It looks like a cut & paste but it isn't. The info are the basis of Italian PM Institute opera.
How Can I rewrite the items so I can pass Wiki rules?

Aaron Parkinson Wiki Deleted?
Just wondering if you deleted the Aaron Parkinson Wiki I recently created due to lack of resources. It say's you deleted it because of unambiguous advertising and or vanity page. But there was no advertising other then me stating how he created his Company CCP which is now one of the largest internet marketing companies in the world.
I would greatly appreciate your feed back

Pike Research Report
Hi Jim,
As usual, I am looking for an informed but uninvolved opinion on this matter.
In electric bicycle, one editor inserted references to predictions created in this Pike Research report. Another editor reverted, and ultimately used "Wikipedia is not a crystal ball" as his/her reason for doing so. I have great respect for both editors in question, but I do not agree with the use of WP:CBAL in this instance. There original insertion did not contain original research, rather it referenced a study whose conclusions included trend prediction. Note that this was not a peer-reviewed, scientific study, but I do not think that should automatically eliminate it as a valid reference.
Any thoughts you have on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Ebikeguy (talk) 14:59, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Hello
I will be grateful if you could kindly allow me to edit and make the necessary changes so that it is not blatantly advertising. Kindly undo the deletion.

copyvio deletions
When an author claims copyright permission in apparent good faith, but does not show it, it is not a G12, unambiguous copyright permission. It's a copyright problem, and needs to be so indicated and listed on the copyright problems page, and the author advised how to send the permission in the proper format. We allow a week for that. Please restore [[Willian Turnbell (artist) . I have advised the author what to do on his talk page, so that part is already done. DGG ( talk ) 15:13, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Deletion of article
Leghari, who recently created and posted an article about my work has told me you deleted it. I cannot see why. I am going to post the article on my FaceBook page for future reference. Would you please explain to me why this article has been deleted as it seems a perfectly legitimate one to me. Administrators delete dozens of articles every day. Can you be more specific? Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 00:04, 15 June 2010 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
- The article was Peter Nicholson (poet and author). I deleted it too, and Waverleywattle left a message on my talk page also, so perhaps it is better that any comments should be kept together on one page, hence I am posting here. The message on my talk page says the following -- "I will post this article on my FaceBook page with appropriate details of these deletions. I am going to persist with this until there is a satisfactory outcome."
- A couple of assumptions: (1) Where Waverleywattle says "article about my work" he identifies himself as the subject of the deleted article, Peter Nicholson. (2) So, the subject of an article deleted from Wikipedia is stating that if Wikipedia does not carry the article (his satisfactory outcome) he will take some sort of action which presumably he thinks will in some way influence/harm Wikipedia. Seems like a threat, in my opinion. Moriori (talk) 02:24, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- It is not a threat at all, as you well know, merely an objection to your deletion which I cannot see as warranted. The person who created this article (not me) went to a great deal of trouble to make sure it followed Wikipedia parameters. My website is archived by the National Library of Australia and that, in itself, would indicate it has a certain significance. My work is also referenced by Austlit, the official reference site for Australian literature. - WaveleyWattle, please read Wikipedia:Wikilawyering before you make threats, although personally I couldn't care less. I deleted your recent article because it did not provide independent verifiable sources that it meets the notability guidelines, and it appeared to be written in a non-encyclopaedic way, more like a (favourable) review than an article. if you are notable, it's up to you to show how you meet the criteria (book sales? awards? I've no idea how significant the archive is, for all I know it coulc be like IMDB, where nearly everyone is in. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:32, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Deleted article "LifeCycle"
Hi! You`ve deleted this article according to A7 criteria. Now this band has already been released worldwide their first single and it`s for sale in digital stores worldwide also. For example here is the link to LifeCycle`s page on the one of the biggest digital stores - iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/but-i-cannot-lose-you/id373973968 Also I`ve just found the teaser for their video on Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrPenwG1jxY So now I hope that this band has deserved to have it`s own aticle on Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AstrStar (talk • contribs) 03:51, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Birds of Leics/Rutland
Hi Jimfbleak. Any chance you could get other members of WP:BIRDS to join in with this review. It's somewhat stagnated under the weight of Snowman's comments and right now will most likely be removed as unsuccessful. Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 06:15, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- I think that the nomination has progressed enormously partly prompted by my comments during the current FLC. Snowman (talk) 08:37, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't say it hadn't progressed, I said it was currently stagnated because no-one else seems to be prepared to offer an independent review. The Rambling Man (talk) 08:56, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- I would be grateful if you would change the emphasis of your initial comment here, because I think that your emphasis was wrong in saying that; "It's somewhat stagnated under the weight of Snowman's comments ...". If it has stagnated, to me it seems to have stagnated due to the absence of more reviewers. The majority of the issues that I had raised have been resolved. May I say that I think I have done my best to make improvements and to prompt improvements to the list throughout the current FLC. Snowman (talk) 09:19, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- I would be grateful if you did not use "Cheers" when making serious comments. Snowman (talk) 09:34, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- The statistics speak for themselves. I have not criticised your review in any way, but I am concerned that your thorough review, full of multiple indented comments and strikeouts, is putting off regular reviewers, hence the "absence of more reviewers". You are aware of this concern. I asked you to cap your review, you declined. And I'll use cheers whenever I like, it's what I say, even when I'm being serious. Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:35, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- I think that a president has already been set. I recall that User Casliber was criticised in the past for using "Cheers" a lot after making serious comments. To be helpful, I would like to advice you that using cheers when making serious comments may have pitfalls and can be inappropriate. Snowman (talk) 09:45, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Striking out resolved comments in the way that I have done in this FAC is perfectly acceptable. Snowman (talk) 09:48, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, and my experience at FLC is that lengthy, heavily indented and struck out comments (while perfectly acceptable) are offputting to new reviewers and those perhaps unfamiliar with the subject. You must be able to see that. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:50, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:Featured list candidates: "To withdraw the objection, strike it out (with <s> ... </s>) rather than removing it. Alternately, reviewers may hide lengthy, resolved commentary in a cap template with a signature in the header. This method should be used only when necessary, because it can cause the FLC archives to exceed template limits." Snowman (talk) 09:58, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, thanks for linking that again. You seem to be missing my point. Never mind, if WP:BIRDS can't provide some more reviews soon, or another independent reviewer steps up then the nomination will be unsuccessful. A shame, after all the good work. The Rambling Man (talk) 10:01, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

- To User Jimfbleak: I have made a comment on 11 June 2010, which you may not have seen. I hope that you will be able to reply and we can make further progress with this FLC. Snowman (talk) 10:27, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- To User Rambling Man: I would be grateful if you would reformat your comments on the FLC page after my comment that I have linked above, because I think that your indenting tends to make my comment less visible. Snowman (talk) 10:27, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- I think you've made that point a sufficient number of times on the review for Jimfbleak to have seen it. In any case, I'll cap my comments. The Rambling Man (talk) 10:31, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- I think that is an entirely new comment signifying a new approach that needs a reply. Snowman (talk) 10:34, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, you mentioned it "I think that there should be a notice or note to state that not all of the illustrations are photographed within the locality" and "I think that not mentioning on the page that bird photographs shown on this page are not all from the locality is a major flaw". Anyway, I capped my comments to make it abundantly clear, should Jimfbleak have missed them, that you still have outstanding comments that you'd like to have addressed, hope that works. Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 10:36, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you, I think that your reformatting (not-necessarily because it was capped) has helped the clarity of the page. I waited 3 days for a reply from my comment that seemed to me to be made less visible by your formatting (now fixed) and then I mentioned it again in my provisional impression summary. Snowman (talk) 10:40, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

- To be helpful, may I say that I think there is probably a better way to encourage more reviewers to a FLC than your approach that I have seen here. Snowman (talk) 10:55, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, like actively encouraging discussion at WP:BIRDS and at WT:FLC. Both of which I have done. Huge swathes of text, some of which is struck out, is a guarantee to put reviewers off. That's been the only point I've been trying to make all along, but seemingly failing to get across. I hope to see more comments soon. Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 10:58, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Deleted Diabetes Insulin Tutorial page
Hi. I just started trying to set up a Diabetes Insulin Tutorial page - and received a bot message to say that there could be a copyright violation - siting a similar website. The next thing I know the Diabetes Insulin Tutorial start page has been deleted. The bot sited a web page hosted by Rick Mendosa. I made this material available to Rick Mendosa for use at his website!! I would like to expand the Diabetes Insulin Tutorial - and make it available for others to contribute to - and add to. Something which I cannot do at my own website which hosts the original source material on the internet. Please check out: http://www.2aida.info
I am working my way through the copyright declaration info - and would be grateful were you to advise how I may have long enough to get the material up on the web + updated without it being summarily deleted...
Thanking you for any assistance that you may be able to provide.

Napier Enterprises Deletion
I have been trying to write an article about truck tents and companies that produce them. Truck tents are becoming more and more popular and are at the forefront of new camping technology. I was wondering why the Napier Enterprises article would be deleted since they invented truck tents and are the leader in selling them. I have no affiliation to this company, I just believe it is noteworthy especially considering they invented it. I thought I made the article as neutral as possible since there are both pros and cons listed. What must be done to make this article stay?

InsightSoftware.com deletion
Obviously, I'm a Wikipedia rookie. Would you approve something more like this? I tried to take out the "advertising" jargon and went strictly with facts. Is this cool?
InsightSoftware.com was formerly known as The GL Company, and before that known as DecisionWorks Software (each instance was for the purposes of rebranding). Founded in 1997, the company has grown from a small business in the UK to a global operation.
At the start of 2005, the company established InsightSoftware.com, Inc. in the United States to further promote its offerings in North America.
The company optimizes business processes for Oracle E-Business Suite and JD Edwards (JDE), empowering end users with access to live information. The Insight software solution helps improve productivity for ad-hoc requests, reporting, analysis, audit and reconciliation needs.
Insight’s enterprise-wide solution for JDE includes modules for: Financials, Supply Chain Management, Project and Asset Management and Human Capital Management.
The company is headquartered in Denver and employs an outside sales team that operates in several locations throughout the country. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryanalford1 (talk • contribs) 17:37, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
