Clean up: Los Angeles Rams: Los Angeles Era (1946-1979)

This section could be expanded upon and broken into subsections. It does ramble a bit. I'm trying to work on this page and then work on summary found at the main Rams article. --Pinkkeith 10:37, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's kind of ridiculous to imply that the Rams left LA because of the "humiliation" of the Everett blowup on the Jim Rome Show; it's not like Jim Rome then (or now) has such massive influence throughout the world of sports that he could force an NFL franchise to move out of LA.

If anybody can find citations (I don't feel like doing it at the moment), it was pretty common knowledge that the Rams ownership (Frontiere) was trying to get an improved stadium deal in LA (either improvements from Anaheim, the Coliseum, the Rose Bowl, or a brand new stadium), and the move to St. Louis was simply a leverage deal when nobody in LA would step up and build a new stadium. The last paragraph under the heading, "1983–1991: Robinson takes over the Rams" begins by referencing a trade that isn't spelled out prior - this makes absolutely no sense. The whole article rambles and there is frequent use of poor grammar and even an occasional misspelled word. I have made a couple of minor corrections, but this article needs a major overhaul, including the elimination of opinion, such as that cited above. The article, I believe, would also benefit from a list of Rams players enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and maybe even the notation of Rams Pro Bowl selections if the article remains broken down by years. Further, in my opinion, the article might benefit from a list of Rams great players through the years - notable quarterbacks, running backs, etc. - just a suggestion.
