Categorizing Commons files
Hi there Acather96, just a note, if a file is being hosted at Commons, it should be categorized there, not here on Wikipedia. Categorizing images here makes the page eligible for speedy deletion under F2. Thank you. — ξxplicit 05:28, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, I didn't know that. Apologies, Acather96 (talk) 15:45, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Brian Johnson (Wrestler)
Good Afternoon. I saw that Brian Johnson (Wrestler) was put up for deletion. I have added a Reference directly from the OTW website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mavsnash33 (talk • contribs) 16:52, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
- Yep thats fine, thanks for adding a reference. Acather96 (talk) 16:59, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Bad CSD, I deprodded, the guy was quite famous before we all lived.--Milowent • talkblp-r 19:38, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
- Hi and thanks for letting me know. At the time there was no assertion of notability (so it wasn't a 'bad CSD'), but maybe I was a little hasty. Thanks, anyway :) Acather96 (talk) 19:59, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
- No problem, I could tell from your recent contribs that you were busy doing good maintenance work when it came in. Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ), the article creator, does great work on obscure bios but they often start out like that and he adds refs as he expands it. Cheers.--Milowent • talkblp-r 20:30, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Just a reminder
When you come across articles like Certified Financial Manager which are clearly copied but assert permission, they should still be blanked as the permission we receive is often unusable for whatever reason. VernoWhitney (talk) 15:01, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reminder, should be more careful next time. Thanks, Acather96 (talk) 09:23, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Hi. I saw that a determination to delete the file was made based on the fact that it used copyrighted images. Being that these were all cover art for the video game versions, and that they are all thumbnail images, one being the exact image (only much, much smaller) as File:Dalmatianfriends.jpg, which is used in the article header, I am having difficulty understanding the rationale for deletion. This image has been in the article since December 17, 2009 (see edit history), and is only now being subject to scrutiny. Could you please help me understand the rationale behind the deletion? Thanks. Struhs (talk) 15:07, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, the media was deleted after a PUF listing. This can be viewed here, which should explain why the image was deleted. Thanks, Acather96 (talk) 09:26, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:A.F.C Kempston Rovers.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:A.F.C Kempston Rovers.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

cover for omni magazine under title cancilla fillaris
Dear Acather96; Omni magazine used original works of art for covers and articles. The work entitled Cancilla Fillaris is my own work that Omni magzine used for their cover. In fact, the second page of the upload clearly states that the work on the cover is by Rallé. This work is registered in the United States Copyright Office with the registration # VA 1-726-887. I hope that this clarifies the confusion regarding the painting Cancilla Fillaris. Sincerely, Scotchtape1000 (Rallé) P.S. I intend to upload another cover of Omni and would appriciate your cooperation in this matter (71.232.206.77 (talk) 19:15, 9 October 2010 (UTC)) October 9, 2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scotchtape1000 (talk • contribs) 17:12, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
- Hi and welcome to Wikipedia :) . While I see you have a valid point regarding your image, this isn't really the best place to voice your concerns. Instead, add this to the files listing at PUF (you can find a link on the image page). Thanks, Acather96 (talk) 19:19, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Hi Acather96; Thank you for your timely response. Since I am very new to this and have very little experience I would appreciate some more guidance. I went to the image page and could not figure out what PUF was referring to. Can you please let me know what I need to do? I appreciate your help. Sincerely, Scothctape1000--Scotchtape1000 (talk) 20:34, 9 October 2010 (UTC)October 9, 2010, 4:36pm
- Don't worry, I've added it to the listing myself. And in case you're wondering, the PUF listing can be found here. Thanks, Acather96 (talk) 06:05, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

- Hi and welcome to Wikipedia :). The page isn't going to be deleted, I just have an issue with image. At current, the image doesn't state the source (where you found the picture, or did you make the screenshot yourself) but more importantly, it doesn't have a image copyright tag. Add a source and tag, and the image should be fine. Leave a note here when you're done and I'll check it. Thanks, Acather96 (talk) 07:31, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Well, okay then. I reuploaded a new version of the screenshot with Creative Commons license (Since I take that screenshot). Also, did the article will soon be nominated for speedy deletion? I want to tell that the development is since 1999 and today I created the page SkyFireOS
