Dominick "Nick" Payne Marone is a fictional character on CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, played by actor Jack Wagner since March 28, 2003.

Dominick Payne Marone
Nick, son of Jackie Payne first arrived in town after a shipwreck and while at the Marone offices met by Brooke Logan who was currently engaged to Ridge Forrester, Massimo's recently discovered son. Nick turned around to greet her after he looked at her from a mirror making her seductive moves. He turned around throwing her off balance. (Scene is on Youtube.com). The two started off as friends and he became very supportive of her regarding her relationship with Ridge but became antagonistic towards Ridge after discovering the angst he had put Brooke through for years who was supposedly his true love. He called him out on it. Massimo wasn't particular about Nick and became stunned when his mother Jackie acknowledge that Nick is also his son. Massimo encouraged both brothers to work for his company. Ridge was never particular about Nick (gave him the nickname Popeye) since he made it clear that he found Brooke to be attractive and wanted her and will take her the minute Ridge messes up with her again. The show between Ridge and Nick emphasized in the beginning of the '"Brooke and Nick" romance that Nick had never truly been in love before and was a loner. Brooke was actually his first time for being in a committed loving relationship. Before then he just lived the life of a sailor sleeping with different women in different ports until he met Brooke. Brooke gave Nick a loving committed relationship while he gave Brooke the confidence to reject Ridge and not fall for anymore of his sweet talk or lies that he'd usually tell her to get her back into his life time and time again. And he had been loyal to her until he met her daughter Bridget.
Love Life
Nick, play father to Hope Forrester
Nick and Brooke spent time together on his boat along with Hope who he played surrogate father to on a regular basis. They'd sing songs together and go on camping trips together but she always thought of Ridge as her father and came to see Nick more as an uncle.
Brooke, loved the attention because she wanted Ridge to see how she felt when he constantly went back and forth between her and Taylor. Ridge acknowledges one time at dinner that he made a mistake. He was sorry. However, after spending time with Nick who treated her more like a human being instead of a sex slave she and Nick became close to each other and later engaged to each other even though they hadn't slept with each other yet since she was still going out with Ridge. After Ridge found out he pursued her relentlessly showing up at her house uninvited. Telling her he was going to change. He would never leave her again for another woman etc. She finally decided to give him another chance and they married in the Amazon jungles. Nick decided to accompany the pair Ridge and Brooke Forrester to the rainforest, upsetting Ridge and Ridge Forrester and Brooke Logan remarried each other and had their honeymoon there. Unfortunately, they were unaware that Sheila Carter had seduced her way into Massimo Marone's bed was there to seek vengeance on the Forrester clan. Namely Ridge Forrester. She also claimed she had a daughter by Massimo Marone. Nick and Ridge's alleged half-sister that she named Diana. In the process Ridge ended up falling into a pit of fire in an attempt to save Brooke.
Brooke cried for days over Ridge and refused to leave the area until they found something about Ridge. Nick attempted to hug her and allay her fears as they tried to find something to prove that Ridge hadn't fallen in the pit. They stayed in the area for about a week before Brooke admitted to herself that Ridge was gone. In the process of her breaking down into tears and crying, Nick starts to kiss her over and over again and they make love to each other. The next day Ridge shows up alive.
Everyone wondered if R.J. belonged to Nick or Ridge after Brooke tells Ridge what occurred after they had combed the area and she was losing hope and depressed. They had a DNA test done. Everyone believed it was Nick's but the DNA test showed it was Ridge's. Unbeknown to everyone Sally Spectra, in disguise, went snooping at he DNA lab and was startled by the results. Whether she tampered with the results or not is unknown. Ridge and Brooke believed that finally they had their bundle of joy cementing them as a couple.
When Brooke left him the first time in 2003 to marry her true love Ridge, Nick took comfort with Ridge's half-sister Felicia (then played by Colleen Dion-Scotti). Realizing that Nick was just on the rebound, Felicia left town for Europe several months later.
After Nick comes to the conclusion that he has lost Brooke forever, Jackie becomes worried and tries to get her to go back to Nick. Brooke refuses saying her place is with Ridge. Bridget starts drinking a lot at the sailor bar with him acting like one of the guys laughing and joking and he discusses Brooke and she discusses Deacon Sharpe who married her only to get to Amber Forrester and then he had an affair with her mother, Brooke Logan while she was depressed over Thorne leaving her and now she has a daughter Hope Forrester with her ex-husband. They both laugh and joke about their sorry lives. They start to look at each other differently and smile.
Bridget started to like what she saw in Nick and asked Brooke if it was okay if she started dating Nick since she was married to Ridge. Brooke, was uncomfortable regarding it but gave it her blessing if she truly liked him and it wasn't a pattern she was creating to get back at her for the Deacon Sharpe fiasco. Bridget, pushed it off and said, "No. I've forgiven you for that. I really do like him." So Brooke hugged her and smiled and said it was fine with her. However, she spoke to Nick and told him that if he wanted to date her daughter it was fine with her but "Please don't do this as some sort of rebound thing. She's the queen of them and she knows they never amount to anything."
Nick and Bridget date to Jackie's dismay. Jackie Marone is adamant that no other relationship will work for her son unless he's married to Brooke Logan. She tells him she likes Bridget. "But what is this Nick? But another rebound attempt to forget Brooke! Who you truly want!" Nick tries to make it clear to his mother that Brooke doesn't want him. She wants Ridge. And that's all she'll ever want. So he decides he's going to try to make this whatever it is between him and Bridget work.
The two soon became engaged and even made it to the altar, but the ceremony was cut short when Ridge collapsed after his presumed-dead wife, Taylor Forrester appeared. Following the revelation that Taylor was alive, Ridge left Brooke for her. This caused Nick to re-evaluate his feelings for Brooke. After Ridge leaves Brooke to restart his life with his newly returned wife from the dead leaving Hope, R.J. and his wife Brooke again for Taylor. Nick comes to Brooke's rescue again as she comes close to having a nervous breakdown after Stephanie has another fake heart attack moment encouraging Taylor and Ridge to immediately declare Brooke and Ridge's marriage as null and void to immediately marry each other in the hospital room. Which they do all at the urging of Stephanie's supposed heart attack which was fake.
Bridget on the other hand, starts having panic attacks after she discovers she's pregnant and starts creating scenarios in her head that Brooke and Nick are having an affair or will have an affair, since Nick is trying to help Brooke out with the kids that Ridge has abandoned for Taylor. ." In order to test Nick's love for her, she faked an abortion. When she revealed the truth that she was still pregnant, Nick was at first furious, then relieved. They married on Nick's boat The Shady Marlin in September 2005.
Nick confronts Taylor and calls what she was doing hateful taking a man from his children. She tells him he has a knight in shining armor complex and psychologically diagnosis him and he tells her that it's a bunch of bull all of the psych babble. But Taylor has no qualms, saying Brooke will find someone else and she knows Brooke. That's what Brooke does. Seduce men." Nick discounts what she says telling her how Ridge and Brooke raised her children in a stable household. Taylor acknowledges she thanks her for that but that doesn't discount what she is and what is it with men like you that are so drawn to women like her
When Bridget's daughter Nicole was stillborn in February 2006, she realized that she was only hanging on to Nick for the sake of Dominick and Nicole, and that there was no longer anything to keep them together. She soon presented Nick with divorce papers.
Nick reunited with Brooke, who was engaged to Ridge at the time. Nick ran to stop the wedding of "Brooke and Ridge" and succeeded. Brooke and Nick married, and were happy. However, Taylor, Ridge's ex-wife would come by and talk to Nick on occasion telling him Brooke was going to eventually cheat on him or leave him for Ridge. They even drunk from a few glasses of liquor and fell in bed together drunk which Brooke caught but wasn't phased by since they had their clothes on. Taylor left and rolled her eyes at Brooke who just shook her head.
Brooke couldn't understand why she was over there since Taylor claimed she was all into Ridge and wondered why she wasn't running after Ridge now. Taylor continued to make the suggestions to Nick who started to become fearful he was going to lose Brooke after she started working at the Fashion House again with Ridge whose mother Stephanie encouraged him to get Brooke back in the company if he wants his Logan again. To curb Ridge's attempt to woo Brooke back he decides to buy Forrester Creations so he can keep an eye on Ridge.
Massimo Marone backs Stephanie up and wants the marriage between Nick and Brooke to dissolve after Ridge had a heart attack because Brooke was with Nick. On one of the fashion show television shows Ridge purposely gave Brooke a scintillating kiss causing Nick to lose it. He became drunk and had a one-night stand with Bridget. When Brooke found out about this, she told him the marriage was over and threw him overboard and sped away in a miniature boat saying never again. And she went to Ridge who was dating Donna Logan at this time to tell him what happened.
Nick was already upset that he felt he lost Brooke to Ridge Forrester and was outraged when he saw his mother in bandages in a coma due to Stephanie's push. He makes it his goal to punish the Forresters who Brooke starts to take up for. Undaunted, Nick signed Brooke's sister, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), to become the face of his new company and his lead model. In a final confrontation, he faced off with Stephanie Forrester, and despite her shattering the windows in the main office, Nick gloated that he had Forrester in the palm of his hand, and until she died, it would remain in his hands. He also becomes outraged when he learns that Ridge slept with his wife a drugged out Brooke Logan in their house and their bedroom. Brooke promises Nick that she'll stay with him if he gives up on this vendetta against the Forresters. He tells her he" can't stand how she takes up for those people." Since they've only been cruel and hateful to her and says it's like she's a glutton for punishment.With Jackie's encouragement, he ordered Stephanie to hand over Forrester Creations to him, or else face time in jail for what she did to his mother. He claimed it was to get justice against the Forresters, but the Forresters claim it's a vendetta.
He underwent therapy with the aid of Taylor. He told her about Jackie's days in Seattle, when she sold herself for money they were poor. Taylor started to understand from Nick's description that his mother was a prostitute but Nick hadn't really figured it out until later since he was remembering everything from a child's perception. Stephanie, inadvertently overhearing Taylor recording her session, used this information as ammunition and turned the first Forrester Creations fashion show under Nick's control into a total chaotic mess, by blabbing the story to everyone there via the intercom.
Nick is outraged at the revelation and confronts his mother and outraged by Stephanie and his father Massimo who wasn't upset about Stephanie announcing it on television at a Fashion Show.
To get back at his father Massimo Marone for supporting Ridge and Brooke and not him and Brooke in a stable relationship (also him siding with Stephanie Forrester and not being outraged in how Jackie was treated by Stephanie) he kicks him out of the company.Despite his unyielding stance and his refusal to sell, he was forced out of the CEO spot at Marone Industries by Marone board member George Satalino (Patrick John Hurley), the senior member of the board of directors, and as his first act, divested Forrester Creations and is in the process of returning it back to Eric (John McCook) and his family. However, Nick sold his shares of Marone stock to the new CEO and bought Forrester "Lock Stock and sewing machines", incurring not only the wrath of Ridge and Thorne (Winsor Harmon), but also Eric.
Brooke officially divorces Nick due to his anger and vendetta issues with the Forresters and with others in general. She thinks he's becoming like Stephanie and she doesn't like it. She decides to side with the Forresters.
Despite the growing animosity between the Forresters and the Marones, Taylor remained Nick's friend. She continued to be questioned about her choice to remain "close" to Nick against the wishes of the Forrester clan. In fact, it was becoming more and more difficult to decipher whether her loyalties lay with Thorne Forrester, or with Nick. Eventually, Taylor broke off her engagement to Thorne, (due to the animosity of his daughter Alexandria Forrester after she learned that Taylor accidentally killed her mother) and over time, she and Nick fell in love.
Nick and Taylor became engaged, just as Brooke's engagement to Ridge was broken due to him hitting her son, Rick, who was seeing Ridge's teenage daughter, Phoebe. Brooke has made it clear that she wants Nick back, but he is determined to be with Taylor even though he still loves Brooke, and has rebuffed her advances. Nick and Taylor were married, making Taylor--Mrs. Taylor Hayes Marone not long after, they have a little boy, Jack Hamilton Marone his first biological living child, who nick wanted to name Hayes Hamilton Marone, after Taylor's Family, but Taylor Suggested the name Jack Hamilton Marone after her father Jack Hamilton and Jackie Marone. Nick recently sold Forrester Creations back to Eric, in exchange for dissolving his marriage to Stephanie Douglas Forrester, an exchange Eric agreed to. Baby Jack Hamilton Marone was found to be Brooke's biological son, not Taylor, since Brooke's eggs were implanted accidentally. Brooke and Taylor were both known as Mrs. Marone While Taylor was married to Nick, and Brooke recently divorced from Nick Kept the Marone name. This has caused Taylor to become furious and started drinking again. She divorced Nick because he admitted to still in love with Brooke. Nick gained custody of Jack, and this infuriated Taylor who lashed out at both him and Brooke; crying out how much Brooke Logan had taking from her, her husband, Ridge, her new-husband Nick, and then her Son Jack.
Fearful, Brooke may leave Ridge to go back to Nick since Taylor made several predictions that would happen, while Brooke is trying to encourage Nick while standing up to go after Taylor, Bridget kicked her out of the bedroom and told her to leave and pushed Nick on the bed and mounted him claiming her territory.Nick has also gained the help and support of his former wife, Bridget, who is willing to help with Jack, and presented Nick with the blanket that had been made for their own daughter, Nicole, who had died.Nick has decided to give his relationship with Bridget another chance, which is risky because he is still in love with Brooke and could end up hurting Bridget again.
On July 4, Nick proposed to Bridget despite having feelings for her aunt, Katie Logan (Heather Tom). Nick and Bridget married on July 14. On August 1, Katie finds out she's pregnant with Nick's child as a result of them sleeping together on Catalina Island. Nick told Bridget on his boat that he slept with Katie on Catalina Island and that she was pregnant with his child. Bridget has now left Nick and their marriage.In May 2009 Katie ends her engagement to Nick after losing the baby, because he is still in love with her niece, Bridget.
Bridget decides to give fashion designing a try as she moonlights while working as a doctor at Jackie M Designs. She designs under Madame X while becoming the head designer and She became heavily admired by Nick, Jackie and Clarke. However, everyone is floored when they realize it is Bridget Forrester, the medical doctor. Nick and Bridget start to reconnect again and they re-marry each other for a THIRD TIME.
Bridget and Nick decide to get a surrogate and try to have a baby again. Everything goes well until Nick starts to investigate her and discovers she hasn't told him everything about herself. He also discovers she was once raped and she's fearful of men. Nick and Aggie keep it a secret from Bridget and he helps her find closure by going after Graham, a Forrester photographer who almost raped Hope Forrester, a teen at the time upset over her recent discover of Brooke, her mother having Sex with her boyfriend Oliver Jones. They caught him and Hope was saved but Nick had to tell Bridget the truth. Bridget became furious.
Bridge believes what he did hiding Aggie's situation for her was tantamount to the Katie fiasco and blasts both of them. She especially becomes outraged when Aggie acknowledges "Yes, she does have feelings for Nick. But promises her she'd never act on those feelings." Which Bridget doesn't believe. Bridget has Aggie fired and yells at her and castigates her regarding taking her pre-natal vitamins. She tells her the sooner she has the baby the better and then she can be out of their lives. Bridget rejects Nicks advances and they aren't intimate as she still holds a grudge against him.
After Aggie and Bridget get into another verbal altercation, Aggie falls down and collapses as Bridget walks up the stairs. She looks stunned and runs down crying only about the baby. Aggie is rushed to the hospital and it discovers the baby is lost again. Bridget is distraught and leaves in a fit of tears.
Jackie is out and she cries and tells Owen what happened. She tells him she's leaving Nick she can't trust him and they both talk about wanting to have kids and it just never seems to happen for either of them. Bridget encourages Owen Knight to pray with her for the baby that died and her and Nick's former baby Nicole. They cry a lot and she starts to kiss him a lot slowly and then Owen responds and they make love to each other.
Nick divorces Bridget again after he finds out from Aggie--Bridget's one-night stand with Owen & the possibility that Bridget's unborn child could be Owen's.
Nick & Aggie finally become romantically involved on July 21, 2010 while on board his boat The Shady Marlin after a romantic dinner. In October 2010 after making love on night, Nick & Aggie confess their love to each other. And on October 8, 2010 Nick fires Bridget, his ex-wife, his mother Jackie and her husband Owen from the Jackie M Design company and makes Amber Moore head designer. He also acknowledges that it hurts him to see Bridget with another man's child, and he doesn't want Bridget in the building at all. He admits to Amber Forrester that he had a woman in almost every city as a sailor and that he trained himself in the ability to move on and never let them get under you skin. Amber is thrilled by his faith in her ability to be head designer and hugs him over the position and later she kisses him which Whipple Jones, Aggie's cousin spots. Whip later warns Amber not to mess with him if she hurts Aggie because he knows all about her & what she's capable of. Aggie and Nick decided to meet each other in the steam room however, Amber sent Aggie on a fruitless mini-business trip and showed up instead in the steamroom wearing only a towel. Nick rejected her advances however, Amber was caught in the act flirting boldly with her boss by Aggie. After Nick rejected her advances again Aggie confronted her and made it clear that she was to stay away from her man and that she'll never forget that her a so-called "friend" betrayed her.
Nick ends up firing Amber Moore-Forrester from Jackie M Designs after finding out that she stole designs from Forrester Creations that were in the possession of Aggie's younger brother Oliver, whom Amber is now expecting a child with. Nick later announces Agnes' departure and the end of their relationship, noting that the relationship was a rebound from ex-wife, Bridget Forrester
Recent Events
Nick discovers he has a possible lung infection that could lead to cancer and is aided by an unusual supporter, Stephanie Forrester. Stephanie and Jackie, once old rivals, work together to help Nick to quit the habit of smoking as does Aggie when she finds out about Nick's illness. He puts his animosity towards The Forresters aside and helps ex-wife, Taylor Forrester Jones, and her ex-husband/ his half-brother, Ridge Forrester--combining power with arch-enemy Bill Spencer Jr., to find his former step-son/half-nephew, Thomas Forrester, and ex-wife/half-sister-in-law, Brooke Logan-Forrester, when their plane crashed into the Pacific, while on their way to Australia to promote the Taboo for women Line by Thomas Forrester. With Nick's knowledge of the water, and Bill's access to military satellites, Thomas and Brooke were found alive, and now Nick is back to his old ways of hating the Forrester Family.
Also after Stephanie Forrester gets her grandson Thomas Forrester to lie and say he had sex with his step-mother Brooke Logan she enlists the help of Nick. She wants Nick to pursue Brooke and marry her once Ridge goes back to Taylor.
