Unione Sportiva Ancona 1905[2] [3], commonly referred to as Ancona 1905, is an Italian association football club based in Ancona, Marche.

In the season 2011-12 it plays in Serie D.

History

Foundation

The club was founded in 1948 as Società Sportiva Piano San Lazzaro and after its 2nd place in Eccellenza Marche it was refounded in 2010 as Unione Sortiva Ancona 1905[4], maintaining the same league.

U.S. Ancona 1905

In the summer 2010, after failure join of A.C. Ancona in Serie B and any of the lower divisions, for filed for bankruptcy, changing their denomination to the current one[5]: it became so the new Ancona and then the main football club of the city.[6]
