Saturday Night Live is airing its thirty-seventh season during the 2011–2012 television season on NBC. [1] The season officially began on September 24, 2011 with host Alec Baldwin, who returned to host for a record sixteenth time[2] and with musical guest Radiohead.

The cast remained the same as in Season 36, although Nasim Pedrad was promoted from featured player to repertory player.[3] This season is also rumored to be the last for Kristen Wiig who has been a cast member since 2005. [4]
