Kristen Wiig
[edit]I believe she has confirmed that she will be returning this season through a radio interview. I'll cite the source before editing the page. 74.68.111.225 (talk) 02:54, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I am trying my best to include the source, please do not delete my changes, they have been confirmed. http://cokesnlfan.tumblr.com/post/5638141140/listen-to-kristen-wiig-interview-on-y98-san-diego 74.68.111.225 (talk) 03:14, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
Ground Rules
[edit]Hey I thought we should lay some ground rules for this page. I know last season we had some arguments over sources and stuff.
So we are all agreed that we'll keep the sources for the shows under the listings section. and not the episode section.
We agreed that Twitter is not a reliable source?
Any other concern leave them below.
Water78 (talk) 04 August 2011 (UTC)
- As I said on the previous season's talk-page, Twitter can be a reliable source when the tweet in question comes from a verified account. With all due respect, BrianGriffin-FG (talk) 00:21, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]After having to revert these edits multiple times, I thought it would be best to bring the subject up here. A user with the IP address 173.48.78.111 has been vandalizing this page multiple times, adding an unsourced third episode, removing references, and removing the episode table. Though it's not the worst thing in the world, it's getting to be a real pain to revert the page to before they edited it. Which brings me to my suggestion that we lock this page to only registered users. Thoughts? Tholden28 (talk) 21:38, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
I agree, On a side note though. Vandalism has increased since the four listed episodes have been released. And since the last two do not have guests yet, I am removing them so vandalism will not increase. Water78 (talk) 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- I have protected the page for one week. Eagles 24/7 (C) 22:46, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
The Jimmy Fallon Show
[edit]So Fallon announced today that he is hosting the show on December 17. So I added the show in, is everyone cool with that? It is kinda far off.
Water78 (talk) 22 August 2011 (UTC)
- I think it's fine that you added it in the episodes table, but It just seems kind of weird when placed in the listings. Maybe we should just have it in the episode table and add it to the listings when it gets closer to the date? Tholden28 (talk) 18:16, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I'll put it just in the episode section and leave a note in the listing page warning not to put the fallon in yet. Water78 (talk) 22 August 2011 (UTC)
Hosts and Musical Guests
[edit]I heard a rumor that Liza Minnelli is guest hosting this season at some point and that Janelle Monae is going to be a musical guest (not during Liza's guest hosting stint, but sometime during the season). Can anybody confirm this?--98.226.9.223 (talk) 18:08, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think it's true. It doesn't seem so likely in my opinion and I haven't been able to find a source on it. Tholden28 (talk) 18:14, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
Can you tell us where you heard that rumor? Water78 (talk) 22 August 2011 (UTC)
Start of the season
[edit]A little heads up, the show starts in two days so I haven taken the opportunity to edit the page. I changed up the cast and wrote an official summary and fixed the writers section. If anyone has a problem, they are more than welcome to revert. I think it might be early but now or never.

- Just curious, how do we know that nobody has been promoted? It just seems odd, since it seemed like at least Nasim would have been promoted to repertory. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.235.146.128 (talk) 15:02, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
- And also, I think somebody should add that Funny or Die's Chris Kelly has been added as a writer, which the following link confirms: http://splitsider.com/2011/09/funny-or-dieonion-news-networks-chris-kelly-hired-as-a-writer-at-snl
- I'd add it myself, but I don't want to login from the computer I'm working at.
Alright will do. To address Nasim, no official statement has been released saying whether or not she is going to promoted up. So lets just wait to see if she is tomorrow. Water78 (talk) 23 September 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.20.231.96 (talk)
First season since 2008 since no new cast?
[edit]I don't think this is true - Bobby Monyihan joined at the beginning of that season... I think it should be the 2007 premiere. Pillowpc2001 (talk) 21:12, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
- I've removed that entire statement as it is trivial and differs from the reference. Eagles 24/7 (C) 21:33, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
Jason Sudeikis leaving SNL?
[edit]I heard that he is leaving the show next season. Is this correct?--Teen13USA (talk) 22:29, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- It wouldn't be surprising, but I can't find anything online to suggest that his departure is imminent. Eagles 24/7 (C) 22:33, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
New Years Eve repeat
[edit]Seems there has been some back and forth edits regarding listing the repeat for Dec 31 as "pre-empted" or to list the Jason Segel rerun (which did air last night, but at 12:30am instead of 11:30pm). I think it probably should be listed, but maybe it could be mentioned in the episode table that the rerun was delayed an hour. Any other ideas? Pillowpc2001 (talk) 23:45, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
- I say just leave it as is, there doesn't seem to be a need to mention it. Tholden28 (talk) 22:55, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
William Shatner hosting?
[edit]I haven't seen anything official, but he's appearing on Jimmy Fallon's show next Thursday, and 3 old sketches from his previous SNL appearances were just added on Hulu - two common occurrences when someone is soon hosting the show... Pillowpc2001 (talk) 04:36, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
New Guy
[edit]Who was the 5th Romney son standing in the far right of the LiLo/Jack White cold open?--Harmony944 (talk) 04:35, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
- I think he was just an extra. - Jasonbres (talk) 04:45, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
- Guess because they didn't have Brittish resources--Harmony944 (talk) 04:53, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
Shouldn't the section "Primetime Airings" be changed to "First Run Airings"?
[edit]As a suggestion - shouldn't the section "Primetime Airings" be changed to "First Run Airings"? "SNL" is not in Prime Time. Thus, the name of the initial repertory company, "The Not Ready For Prime Time Players".
I LOVE everything else about this article. Someone is doing a great job of maintaining it. I refer to it every week before I watch "SNL". Since I am on the West Coast, and we get a 3-hour delayed feed of the live show, I can read about the show after it airs live on the East Coast but before the tape delay broadcast here. JKlein 31 March 2012
- The Primetime Airings section actually does list primetime airings, with currently only the Christmas special listed. The table below it is in a separate section "Episdoes". Pillowpc2001 (talk) 23:55, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
Lorne Michaels appearances
[edit]Just because Lorne Michaels appears a handful of times on the show every season doesn't mean it isn't notable. It doesn't happen every episode, he isn't part of the cast, and it's still a cameo. With all due respect, BrianGriffin-FG (talk) 17:59, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Removed 'Listings' section
[edit]I have begun removing the "Listings" sections from SNL Seasons articles because they consistently fail WP:NOTDIR policy concerns. You can find the main discussion here: Talk:List of Saturday Night Live episodes#.27Listings.27 sections on Seasons pages. -- Wikipedical (talk) 00:39, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
