Requests for registration

Please read the guide on the main page before requesting permission. In applying for AWB access, you indicate that you will abide by its terms.

Also, this page is for requesting AWB Access for this wiki (English Wikipedia) only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.

Please add your name to the bottom of the list using *{{AWBUser|your username}} ~~~~~. Enter your user name exactly as it is, do not add underscores instead of spaces or change the case of the first letter.

If the list contains undecided entries that are over 48 hours old, please add {{Admin backlog}} to the top of this page.

Note that users with under 500 mainspace non-automated edits are rarely approved. You only need to give a reason for wanting AWB access if you have fewer than 500 mainspace non-automated edits.

If approved, your name will be added to the CheckPage.

Users

  • A lot of your mainspace edits (well over a 100 of your 600-ish) seem to be either automated or simple "undo"'s - I'd prefer to see more actual edits or an explanation why you need the tool before you're given access. Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:43, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm not entirely sure what you mean when you say that my edits are automated. If you mean using a program such as Twinkle, I have enabled it but as I usually use IE I have literally only made a couple (<5) of edits in this way; if you are referring to my corrections of words such as "minuscule" I did all those by hand using the search box. That is the reason I requested use of this tool: so I could perform such edits more quickly and easily and get more done in a shorter period of time.--Gilderien Talk|Contribs 20:07, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • A large number of your mainspace edits appear to be automated. As above, I'd prefer to see more manual edits or an explanation of why you need access to AWB. Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:47, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please only list approved/trial approved bots here and add a link to your bot approval at Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval.

Done I am approving you as if this was duplicate account. Please stay within the normal parameters for human AWB use since your bot was not approved as an AWB bot. --Guerillero | My Talk 04:42, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

    • Bot approved here for trial. I will be replacing some deprecated WikiProject Banners with WikiProject United States, and then only for tasks approved at BRFA or AWB/Tasks. Request prompted by the huge backlog of articles awaiting transition to the new template and the busy schedules of other operators. Note that I, the operator, am already cleared for AWB. 14:21, 16 December 2011 (UTC).
Great thanks. --Kumioko (talk) 14:50, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
