The Porsche Cajun is a compact crossover SUV based on the Audi Q5, initially announced in November 2010 as a development project,[1] and formally announced by Porsche in March 2011, with deliveries expected in mid 2013.[2] Porsche aims to position the Cajun below the larger Cayenne.

The Cajun will be produced alongside the Panamera and the Cayenne in Leipzig, Germany in a newly extended factory.[3]

On February 16th, Porsche announced the final name for the car to be "Macan". The name Macan is derived from the Indonesian word for tiger. The name Macan is derived from the Indonesian word for tiger.

Technical details

The engine range has not yet been confirmed for the Cajun.
