The Porsche Cajun is a compact crossover SUV based on the Audi Q5, initially announced in November 2010 as a development project,[1] and formally announced by Porsche in March 2011, with deliveries expected in mid 2013.[2] Porsche aims to position the Cajun below the larger Cayenne.

The Cajun will be produced alongside the Panamera and the Cayenne in Leipzig, Germany in a newly extended factory.[3]

On February 16th, Porsche announced the final name for the car to be "Macan" [4]. The name Macan is derived from the Indonesian word for tiger.

Technical details

The engine range has not yet been confirmed for the Cajun.
